Graveside service for Mr. John Larry Townsend will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Easthaven Cemetery.
John, 83, was born at his home, March 11, 1937, in Lincoln County, Brookhaven where he would marry his wife
Lorraine and start a family. After graduating from high school, he joined and served his country in the United States Army.
John also lived in Metairie, LA where he was a homebuilder and was a member of the Home Builders Association
where he received many awards. He built beautiful homes in the New Orleans surrounding areas. John had a
passion for Tractor Pulling, he competed, promoted and enjoyed the camaraderie of the sport. He returned to
Lincoln County where he would marry Janice and enjoy the remainder of his life spending his retirement
cattle farming and trail riding in covered wagon to the Dixie National Rodeo. John was a great pillar and friend
to the community and would not hesitate to help anyone ever. John loved his family and friends and will be
missed and remembered forever as an amazing and wonderful man.
He is preceded in death by his wives, Marcia Lorraine Smith Townsend and Janice Carol Oliver Townsend;
parents, Henry Otho Townsend and Lucinda Hall Townsend; siblings, Fannie Lou Townsend Price and Pink Corbit Kyzar.
He is survived by his children, Joyce Diane Townsend Adams and Johnny Tim Townsend; sister, Patsy Ruth Townsend Denson;
three grandchildren, Kevin Ortego, Jr., Valerie Ortego, Wesley Adams; four great grandchildren, Alissa, Kylie,
and Kegan Ortego and Nolan House as well as other loving family members and friends.
Graveside services for Mrs. Gladys Ivey are 11:00 Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Roseland Cemetery in Gloster MS.
Mrs. Gladys B. Ivey, 83, of Wesson, passed from this life January 5, 2021, at University of Mississippi Medical Center.
She was born December 7, 1937, to her parents, Tommie Parks Craddock and Willene Marie Bell Craddock.
After graduation she pursued a career in Bookkeeping and later, Realty. After retirement, Mrs. Ivey enjoyed
time off from work with several hobbies, painting and cross stitching, and she also was an excellent cook.
Her faith and family were the most important part of her life. Spending time with family and friends
brought her great joy. She was a member of the Brookhaven Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness, and will
be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Huey Ronald Ivey; her parents; and her brother, Steven Robert Wisner.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Karla Grady (Scott) and Sandy Thorne; four grandchildren,
Matthew Grady, Nicholas Grady, Kelly Cash and Jimmy Thorne; six great grandchildren; an adopted granddaughter,
Maria Meza (Christian); three adopted great grandchildren, Jordan Meza, Alex Meza, and Isaiah Meza; as well as
a host of dear and special friends.
Cody Andrew Martin, 34, of Sontag, passed away December 26, 2020.
He was born on July 28, 1986. Cody was a very loving and caring person.
He always had a smile and a heart full of laughter. He loved his family and friends dearly.
He accepted whatever life threw his way with graciousness and humor. In his battle with brain cancer,
God gave him peace. He was loved by all whose lives he touched. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his father, Timmy Martin; maternal grandparents, Ray and Jo Walley;
paternal grandmother, Annie Maude Lambert and special cousin, Christie Freeman White.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Ramona Walley Cambell; brothers, Kyle Walley, Timmy (Bubba) Martin, Jr. (Nicole);
sisters Amber Martin Ard, Ashley Martin Thomas, along with uncles, Don Walley, Mike Walley (Martha), Charles Dunaway, Tony Smith,
Roy Lynn Martin, Orville Martin and aunts, Sheila Sykes (Danny); and special aunt, Susan Woolley and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jerry Elgie Standrod, 75, of Brookhaven, passed away January 2, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on January 27, 1945 to the late James Floyd Standrod and Elgie Maxine Alford.
Mr. Standrod served his country in the Untied States Air Force and was a retired truck driver.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and infant son, Anthony Floyd Standrod.
Those that are left to cherish his memory are his longtime friend and caregiver, Jean P. Case;
sons, Jerry Gregoire, and wife, Christine, Michael Standrod, and Rudy Standrod;
daughter, Cindy Lamie, and brother, James Kent Standrod, along with 10 grandchildren.
Graveside for Mrs. Deanna Lee Beaudry Boutwell of Sontag, Mississippi are 11 a.m., Tuesday,
January 5, 2021, at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Sontag, Mississippi.
Deanna Lee Beaudry Boutwell, 76, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 2, 2021.
She was born on March 25, 1944, in Brookhaven, Mississippi to the late Florell Lee Beaudry
and Richard Charles Beaudry.
Deanna was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She and her late husband, Gary Seale Boutwell Sr.,
owned and operated Carpet Corner in Brookhaven and Monticello, Mississippi for over 30 years.
Deanna was an avid animal lover, and she held fast to the Bible verse, Proverbs 12:10. She loved
painting and creating artwork, as well as traveling the United States with her husband and puppies.
While she enjoyed these things, spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren brought her the most joy.
Everyone that knew her loved her, and once you met her, you did not forget her. Her beautiful,
contagious smile will be remembered by many, as well as her comical personality. She was truly a smart, strong woman of God.
Preceding her in death are her parents, and husband of 56 years.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Michele D’Antoni Smith (Mitchell), son,
Gary Seale Boutwell Jr. (Susan), Brother-in-law, Maxie Boutwell, and Sister-in-law, Judy Boutwell
Along with 5 grandchildren, Weston Benson Boutwell (Annie), Rachel Boutwell Brister (Gage),
Anna Beth Smith, Emily Grace Boutwell, and Kyleigh Elizabeth Boutwell,
And 2 precious great grandchildren, Noah Gage Brister, and Joseph Benson Boutwell,
as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services for Mr. William “G-Man” Granger will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021, at 11:00 am at
Bethel Baptist Church in Hazlehurst with visitation starting at 9:30am prior to the service.
Interment will be at the Church cemetery.
William “G-Man” Granger, 82, of Hazlehurst, passed from this life on January 2, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on August 2, 1938, to James Watt Granger and Rosie O’Nell McKinzie Granger.
He served in the Airforce and retired from the oilfield. He was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, James and Rosie Granger; brothers, Harlton Granger,
Raymond Granger and sister, Erma Nell Vardaman along with one grandchild, Dennis Mitchell Granger.
Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Louise Granger; sons, Mitchell Granger (Kristi) and
Chuck Granger (Sally); daughter, Lanita Walker; brothers, John Granger and Stanley Granger
along with 10 grandchildren, Dana Moreau, Pete Moreau (Leigh), Misty Walker, Mandy Walker,
Meghan Greer (Nathan), Payton Granger, Jenae Granger, Kasey Granger and Brandon Granger.
He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral service for Donald Cloyce McDavid will be 2 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2021, at
Holly Springs Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation is from
Noon until the time of service.
Mr. McDavid, 58, of Brookhaven, passed from this life December 31, 2020, at his residence.
He was born in Brookhaven February 10, 1962, to Lafayette Whitney McDavid and
Betty Lou Williamson McDavid. After high school he went on to complete his
Bachelor of Arts from William Carey and pursued a career in Law Enforcement with
the Jackson Police Department, then worked as a Security Officer for the Federal Government
and later trained to work with HVAC. Donald was an outdoor enthusiast spending many hours
walking in the woods or just watching the beautiful night sky. He also enjoyed the opposite end
of the spectrum through car racing and Alabama Crimson Tide football. His passion was reading,
ending each day with the riches from God’s Word. His greatest joy recently has been his great niece,
Blakley. Donald will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Tony Lafayette McDavid.
Those who remain to cherish every memory are, his parents; half-brother, Mike McDavid (Becky);
sister, Tammy Knight (Mike) and half-sister, Sandra McDavid; nephew, Hunter Lafayette Knight (Theresa);
niece, Whitney Alice Knight and great niece, Blakley Alene Knight. He also leaves behind
a very special best friend, Bettye McAllister (Gerald) as well as other loving family members and friends.

Mrs. Sharon Irene Brackett, 81, went to be with her Lord on December 29, 2020.
She was born on June 25, 1936 to the late Vernon E. Ritz and Margaret I. Ritz.
Mrs. Brackett loved gardening and plants, singing and playing music, sharing fruits with family
and passing out plants to strangers and friends. Her grandchildren were the love of her life.
Sharon and her husband, Stanley served in the ministry for many years. She was a member of
Bogue Chitto Assembly of God Church.
Sharon will be missed by all that loved and knew her.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, William Stanley Brackett; brothers, Keith Ritz and Lindell Ritz; sisters, Virginia Etheridge and June Ritz Stegall.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Irene Sparks and sister, Judy Boutwell along with grandchildren, Jennifer Nicole Barnes and Nathaniel Stanley Barnes.

Virginia Faith Hutcherson Lenzi, 37, of Brookhaven, passed from this life on December 29, 2020.
She was born on February 6, 1983, to Doyle Lyndell Hutcherson and June Rachelle Purvis Hutcherson.
She was a librarian for Lincoln County Public Library and member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
She loved painting, reading and pleasing others. Virginia breezed into life a beautiful soul and breezed
out of life in the same way. She was accommodating to others to the point of selflessness. Her beautiful
sweet smile will be remembered by many. Her sense of humor was effervescent and appreciated
by all that knew her. She was smart, informed and went forward mightily. She will be missed
by those who knew and loved her.
Preceding her in death was her father, Doyle Lyndelle (Lyn) Hutcherson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, June Purvis Hutcherson; son, Lyndon Parker Nations
and sister, Sarah Beth Hutcherson.
Funeral service for George Cory Hickson will be 2 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021 at
Faith Church in Bogue Chitto, MS.
Cory, 25, of Bogue Chitto, passed from this life December 29, 2020. He was born in
Brookhaven December 6, 1995, to George Wallace Hickson and Christina Ann Gross Hickson.
He was a graduate of Enterprise High School and then enlisted in the National Guard,
serving in Kuwait. He was employed in the food industry as a stock clerk. Cory was a
true music enthusiast and loved all instruments. He will be greatly missed by his
parents, sisters, and all those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Denver Hickson and
maternal grandfather, Carl Gross.
Those who remain to cherish his memory are his parents; his sisters, Monica Bessonette,
Erica Parcell, and Angelica Sweat; as well as his grandparents, Mary Hickson, John Hickson,
Bob Johnston, Nita Johnston, Justina Wenzel; and uncles, Carl Gross and Raymond Gross.
