The funeral service for Mrs. Deborah Vee Smith will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Heritage Family Church at 12:00 p.m.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service. Interment will follow in Riverwood Memorial Park.
Deborah Vee Smith, 65 of Brookhaven, passed away January 7, 2019
She was born on June 14, 1953 to the late Junior Woodruff and Marlene Woodruff.
Deborah grew up in Urania, LA. and moved to Vidalia LA. She graduated May 21, 1971 from Vidalia High School.
She met Terry Smith and was married June 1, 1974 and after having their two daughters, they moved to Franklin County were she became a teacher of New Life Christian Academy.
In 1997 she moved to Brookhaven MS and a teacher of Brookhaven Christian Academy where she loved all her students and served faithfully at Heritage Family Church,
where she loved to cook for the church family and taught Sunday School, church camp and VBS. She was a loving grandmother to all her grandchildren and she loved to read and sing to them.
Preceding her in death are her brother, Dennis Woodruff.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Terry Smith of Brookhaven, MS; daughters, Heather Barrois and husband Tommy of Opelousas, LA, and Nicole Froelicher of Brookhaven, MS.
She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, Delton Cothern, Avery Barrois, Dillon Barrois, Richmond Froelicher and Brenda Hamilton.
Funeral service for Mrs. Joyce Anna Ballard will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2019,
at Riverwood Family, with interment at Easthaven Cemetery. Visitation is from 1:00 p.m.
until time of the service on Wednesday.
Mrs. Ballard, 85, of Brookhaven, passed away January 6, 2019 at Haven Hall. She was born
April 6, 1933, to Leon and Marie Townsend. Mrs. Joyce worked for Stahl Urban as a Trainer,
until her retirement. She was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carrel Ballard and her son, Michal Ballard.
She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Smith (Anthony); brother, Dub Townsend; sisters,
Eva Lee, Linda, Donnis, and Pearl; four grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mr. Donald Earl Smith will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2019, at Riverwood Family, with interment at Wellman Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 6, at Riverwood.
Mr. Smith, 60, of Brookhaven, passed from this life, January 4, 2019, at St. Dominic Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born in Baton Rouge, LA, on August 21, 1958, to Thomas Harold and Irene Douglas Smith. Donald was a family man, enjoying the time he was able to spend with his two grandchildren, Tommy and Georgia Rae. Donald married his high school sweet heart and celebrated 37 years of marriage with her. He was one of a kind, a great husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. It was in giving to others that he found joy and satisfaction. If anyone had a “heart of gold” it was Donald. There was no distance too far. He was an outdoorsman as well, enjoying fishing and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Hannah Hart Smith; granddaughter, Emery Rose Smith; father, T.H. Smith; brother, Tommy Smith; and nephews, Daniel Lofton and Danny Earl Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Hart Smith; mother, Irene Smith Meredith; son, Rodney Sawyer Smith; brother, Rodney Glenn Smith and wife, Rose Mary; sister, Judy Lofton Hart; two grandchildren, Tommy Sawyer Smith and Georgia Rae Smith; father and mother-in-law, Roger and Wyonzie Hart and brother-in-law, Brett Hart and wife, Vicki.
Mr. Wallace Wayne Wood, Brandon, Mississippi passed away at age 87 on January 4, 2019 in Jackson, Mississippi surrounded by his family. Visitation will be Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, 76 Hwy 51 S, Bogue Chitto, MS. 601-833-6680
Wayne was born in Meadville, Mississippi, son of the late Blanche Campbell (Toxey) Randall and Wallace Burns Wood. He was a graduate of Brookhaven High School, Copiah-Lincoln Community College, University of Southern Mississippi, Jackson School of Law and Mississippi College.
After service in the United States Army, he began a career in the lumber industry, retiring in 2014. Wayne was a faithful member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Jackson, and in later years at First Baptist Church, Clinton, serving as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and chairman of numerous committees. He also served as president of the Mississippi Lumber Manufacturers Association.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Ann Smith Wood and their children, Dana (Ney) Williams, Bruce (Jeannie) Wood, Eric (Lesley) Wood; grandchildren, John (Lauren) Stokes, Justin Wood, Ryan (Jennifer) Wood, Emma Williams, Marshal Williams, Wyatt Wood, Campbell Wood, Will (Julie) Loftin and great-grandchildren Allie and Hannah Loftin.

A Memorial Service will be held for Mr. Robert Michael “Mike”, “Biscuit” Netterville on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at 1:00pm at Charity Baptist Church with visitation starting prior to the service at 12:00pm.
Robert Michael “Mike” or “Biscuit” Netterville, 62, of Brookhaven, passed away on January 4, 2019, at his residence. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on December 2, 1956, to Robert Arthur Netterville and Sylvia Cothern Netterville.
He was a truck driver for the Oil field industry. Mike enjoyed fishing and watching the New Orleans Saints play.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Sylvia Netterville; father-in-law, Charlie Lambert; granddaughter, Carly Faith Netterville and brother-in-law, Jimmy Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Sally Lambert Netterville; father, Robert Netterville and step mother, Jennifer Netterville; mother-in-law, Ann Lambert; son, Charlie Netterville; daughter, Brandy White and husband Scotty; sister, Robbie Cox and husband Steve and Carolyn Boone and husband Ronnie. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Kennedy Foster, Bradyn Brister, Gabe Netterville, Caden White, Dawson White and Noah Netterville along with one great grandson, Ridley Smith; brother-in-law, Mack Lambert and wife Sharon and sisters-in-law, Bonnie Freeman and husband Ferman, Jenny Rushing and husband Daniel and Geraldine Smith.

Monday January 7, 2019 at Easthaven Baptist Church with visitation from 9:30 am until time of service.
Interment will be a Riverwood Memorial Park.
Mr. Donald Edwin Oster, 88 went to be with his Lord on January 3, 2019 at his residence.
He was born on November 3, 1930 to James Oster and Bessie Enloe Oster.
He was a member of Easthaven Baptist Church and was retired as a Locomotive Engineer for the Railroad.
Preceding him in death are his parents; brother, Harland Oster and sister, Theo Martens.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Oster; sons, Chris Oster and wife, Suzanne, Daryl Oster and wife, Laura,
Dale Oster, Craig Oster and wife, Tammi and Jamie Oster; stepsons, Bennie and wife Niki, Blake and wife Carrene;
stepdaughter, Debbie Storey and husband Ron. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Karen Love and Katie Love;
19 grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Rev. Elliot Rutland
Elliot has been a Minister of the Gospel for 24 years, serving with the Apostolic Pentecostal Faith.
He is married to Jocelyn (Johnson) Rutland, and they reside in Jayess.
He and Jocelyn have two daughters, Caroline and Claire. He is the pastor of Calvary Pentecostal Church in Jayess.
Lindsey Jackson
Lindsey is a graduate of Bogue Chitto High School. He is married to Leila Jackson and they reside in Brookhaven.
They have two children Zaine and Everly
Rev. Trent Moak
Trent is married to Amanda and they have three children, Tucker, Anniston, and Charlee Grace.
He is from Bogue Chitto and is the pastor of Fernwood Baptist Church, .
Trent has been a director for Riverwood since 2018.
Adam Brady
Adam is married to Mattie Presley Brady and they have one son, Drew.
They attend Clear Branch Baptist Church in Brookhaven. He has worked for Riverwood for many years.
He started with Riverwood working outside running equipment on the grounds and with Riverwood Monument Group, but
has since become a licensed Funeral Director and Crematory Manager.
