Lola Sue West Thames

Graveside service for Lola Sue West Thames will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2021, at Monticello Cemetery.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. prior to service, at Riverwood Family. Rev. Ryan Thurman will officiate.

Mrs. Thames, 87, of Brookhaven, passed from this life March 5, 2021. She was born in Kosciusko, MS April 19, 1933.

She was a seamstress during her lifetime, and she was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was a loving wife

and mother, and she will be greatly missed by all she leaves behind.

She is preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Thames; parents, Calvin D. West, Sr. and Estelle Boyd West; brother,

Calvin D. West, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Kathy Bracey Thames.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son, John D. “Tooky” Thames (Denise); daughters, Cindy T. Kennedy (David),

Becky T. Bush (David), and Joni Culpepper (David); six grandchildren, Chris Kennedy, Dorian Wade, Marcus Bush,

Hannah Culpepper, Erin King, Katie Grace Culpepper; four great grandchildren, C.J., Morgan, Matti, Dylan; and one

great great grandchild, Ryder.

Robert Lee Williams, Jr.

Services for Mr. Robert Lee Williams Jr. are 1:00 pm, Friday, March 5, 2021 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service

with burial at Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 until time of the services.

Mr. Robert Lee Williams, Jr. went to be with is Lord on March 3, 3021. He was born on November 4, 1936 to the late

Robert Lee Williams and Daisy Mae Boyte Williams. He was the owner of William Welding and Machine Works,

and was also a Mason and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He will be missed by all that loved and knew him.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and infant son, Troy Wayne Williams.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Terry Williams, Marty Williams and Mark Williams; daughter,

Linda Halley and sister, Bobbie Case. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Charlene Bracey Smith

Graveside service for Mrs. Charlene Bracey Smith will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Sylvarena Baptist Church.

Mrs. Smith, 84, of Brookhaven, passed from this life March 2, 2021. She was born October 31, 1936, to Leon Bracey

and Ruby Bracey. She has been a member of Pearlhaven Baptist Church for 72 years.

Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband, John William Smith; her parents; and her son, William David Smith.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Kenneth Smith (Ann), Steve Smith (Judith); daughters, Kay Almond,

Pam Smith (Bobby); brother, Glen Bracey; and sisters, Faye Winborne and Betty Lanier. She also leaves behind

14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and close nieces, Kathy Dunn (Les),

Dinky Davis (Jimmy), and Angie Hux (Donald).

Rev. Walter Winston Sisco

Funeral service for Rev. Walter Winston Sisco will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Mt Zion Baptist Church

with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Reverends Brooks Porter

and Zach Kilpatrick will officiate the service.

Rev. Sisco was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi September 19, 1938 to Mitchell Sisco and Ettie Mae Havis Sisco.

His journey on this earth was 82 years and he entered eternity February 28, 2021. Before answering the call to

preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Rev. Sisco served as deacon. He, along with his loving wife, Yvonne, pastored

several churches for over 50 years of total service. He loved to spend time in God’s creation and gardening was

a favorite hobby for him, but his family was the most important thing in his life, especially those grandchildren

and great grandchildren. His love of Jesus and sharing the gospel was the greatest part of his heart. He will be

greatly missed by his family and all those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his precious wife after 54 years of marriage, Yvonne Newell Sisco

and his brother, Marvie Sisco.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Danny Sisco (Rhonda), daughter, Tammy Porter (Dwayne), brother,

Earl Sisco (Alice Ann); sisters, Mary Gill and Eula Strittman; five grandchildren, Daniel Sisco (Erin), Dustin Sisco (Katelyn),

Blake Porter (Millie), Brooks Porter (Callie), Ashlyn Bales (Brad); and nine great grandchildren, Meridith Porter,

Anniston Porter, Cole Porter, J.H. Porter, Katy Bales, John Winston Bales, Eli Sisco, Emma Sisco, and Mamie Kate Sisco.

Ruby Gertrude Buie

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Gertrude Morris Buie will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at

Union Church Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Bethel Cemetery. Visitation is from Noon

until the time of service. Rev. Billy Joe Deer will officiate the service.

Mrs. Buie was born in Natchez, Mississippi January 5, 1939 to the late Oren Courtney Morris and

Alice Laura McCreight Morris. She lived 82 years and saw many changes during her lifetime on

this earth. She passed from here and into eternity February 26, 2021. Mrs. Buie was a member of

Union Church Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She had a gift of music, playing both piano and organ, and enjoyed sewing and other hobbies as well.

She will be greatly missed by her family and all who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, John Duncan Buie, and her sisters, Mary Cross

and Ethel “Kitty” Fleming.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband of 64 years, Elmer Lee Buie; sons,

Elmer Lee Buie Jr. (Rebecca), Daniel Richard Buie (Sallie); daughter, Beverly Jones (Bill); brother,

Jake Morris (Joy); and sister, Frances Sisco. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Jason Magee (P.J.),

Hope Case (Justin), Cody Buie (Carla), Caleb Buie, Chelsey Myrick (Chad), John Courtney Buie (Mallory),

Christopher Buie (Courtney), Rex Buie (Kimberly), Richard Buie (Heather), Rhiannon Mercier (Shawn),

William Kyle Howell

William Kyle Howell, 28, of Wesson, passed from this life February 27, 2021, at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

He was born in Jackson, MS, November 11, 1992, to his parents, Ellis Howell, Jr. and Vicki Thornhill. He enjoyed

time in the great outdoors, fishing and hunting, and he also liked to spend time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas Andrew Thornhill and his grandmothers, Kathy Darlene Miller and

Nadine Howell, and grandfather, Ellis Howell, Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Cocoa Rials Howell; his parents; sons, Haydn Howell, Joseph Franklin,

and Jeremy Gill; brothers, Keith Calhoun, Cameron Honeycutt, Collin Howell, Homer Mangum, Keith Morgan,

Conner Morgan, Kelton Calhoun; sister, Karley Morgan; and other loving family members, Brently Miller, Ty Miller, Susan Wilson,

Lois Elaine Brock Ballard

Graveside service for Mrs. Lois Elaine Brock Ballard will be 2 p.m., Monday, March 1, 2021, at Riverwood Memorial park.

Mrs. Ballard, 69, of Brookhaven, passed from this life February 26, 2021, at Southwest Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Brookhaven June 6, 1951 to her parents Freddie Otto Brock and Bonnie Mae Stinson Brock.

Mrs. Ballard was a newspaper deliverer for many years and a member of Solid Rock Pentecostal Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy D. Ballard; her parents; brothers, Freddie W. Brock, Lester G. Brock,

Joseph G. Brock, Robert L. Brock, and David E. Brock; and sisters, Barbara A. Heathcock and Bonnie G. Brock.

She is survived by her stepdaughter, Michelle; brother, Jefferson D. Brock; sister, Karen S. Rogers; and sister-in-law,

Gloria J. Brock. She also leaves behind five grandchildren.

Fred Ward Diamond

Graveside service for Mr. Fred Ward Diamond will be 10 a.m., Thursday, March 4, 2021

at Wesson Cemetery.

 

Mr. Diamond began his journey on earth July 27, 1967 and his journey ended February 26, 2021,

he was 53 years of age. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to his parents, Frank Albin Diamond

and Martha Melinda Fairchild Diamond. He was retired and spent his time reading, listening to

music and involved with the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. He will be greatly missed

by his family and all those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his father, brother, Frank S. Diamond, and sister, Mary Sue Vardaman.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Martha Diamond; brother, Michael Diamond; sisters,

Anna Timberlake and Lydia Latham; nephews, Thom Crutchfield, Tim Crutchfield, and Samuel Crutchfield;

niece, Autumn Hester,

as well as a host of other special family members and friends.

Chad Vaughn

Services for Mr. Chadwick “Chad” Leigh Vaughn of Brookhaven are 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 27, 2021,

at Southway Baptist Church with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 1:30 until time of the service.

 

Chad, 50, went to be with his Lord on February 24, 2021 at his residence.

Chad was born on August 18, 1970. He was a former member of the Lions Club,

Co-owner of Brookhaven Milling Company, and creator of Mo’ Bucks Deer Feed.

Chad enjoyed cattle farming, hunting, fishing, and inventing new products and ways to kill weeds

in ponds and ways to attract deer for hunters. He was being SEC recruited to play college football

at the time of his injury in 1987, but continued his love for college football by attending home Ole Miss

games with his wife and friends and away games at most all the

SEC stadiums. He was also a member of Southway Baptist Church.

 

Preceding him in death were his father, Gerald Glen Vaughn, mother, Rebecca Elizabeth Nettles Vaughn,

maternal grandparents, Walter Edward and Elizabeth Nettles, paternal grandparents, Leighton, and Myrtle Vaughn.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 22 plus years, Mendez Vaughn, sisters, Angie V. Jordan and husband Bob,

and Bethany V. Lewis, and husband, Keith, along with nieces, Kailyn Jordan and Olivia Lewis, and nephews, Leighton Jordan, and Glen Vaughn Lewis.

Ronnie White

Graveside service for Ronnie Earl White will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 

at Riverwood Memorial Park.

Mr. Ronnie White, 71, of Brookhaven, passed away February 19, 2021, at

King’s Daughters Medical Center.

He was born on January 5, 1950, to the late

Earl White and Billie Merle Waldrop White Brown.

Mr. White was a retired truck driver for

Walmart Distribution Center.

He enjoyed spending time with his only grandchild, Gavyn, whom he loved with all his heart.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brother Robert Brown, sister Karen Adams, and nephews

Sid and Brad Beasley.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son,

Ronald “Shun” White and wife, Rena Adams White; grandson, Gavyn Lee White; sisters,
