Allein Stovall

Funeral service for Allein Stovall will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2022, at Riverwood Family, with interment in Highland Cemetery, Hattiesburg, MS. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, March 31, at Riverwood.

Allein Stovall 83 years young. Born September 01,1938 in Taylorsville, MS to Preston & Lessie Atchley. She grew up in the United Pentecostal Apostolic Church. She loved helping people it made her feel happy. Surprises made her feel like a kid again and shopping was one thing she really loved to do.

Although towards the end she did not get to attend church as much as she wanted, still held the church and God in the highest regards.

She is survived by four of her six children. That would include 3 daughters and one son: Angela Darlene Scarborough, Teri Lynn Little, Tammy Lynn Heinsohn, and Timmy Lane Cowart.

Elois Bedford Durr

Funeral service for Mrs. Elois Bedford Durr will be 2:30 p.m., Friday, April 1, at New Salem Church of Christ

with burial in New Hope United Church Methodist Cemetery. Visitation is from 12:30-2:30 p.m.

Mrs. Elois Bedford Durr, 85, passed away March 29, 2022. She was born on January 3, 1937, to the late Jasper and Nellie Bedford.

Mrs. Durr was a member of the New Salem Church of Christ. She loved gardening and animals.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Louis M. Durr, Jr., son, Donnie Durr, grandson, William Durr and sister, June Bedford.

Those left to cherish her memory are her friend and companion, Marell Case; daughter, Lauri Speeg and husband, Dan; daughter-in-law,

Debbie C. Durr; brothers, Jim Bedford and wife, Judy, and Phil Bedford; her sister, Reba Adame;

along with five grandchildren, Heather Covington (Casey), Adam Speeg (Samantha), Hunter Speeg (Carly) Ashley Bozeman (Will),

and Megan Cook (Adam), and fourteen great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her Bonus Family, Kevin, Wanda, and Danna Roses, and Darron and Amanda Case.

She will be dearly missed by all that loved and knew her.

Eunice Anne Bonney

Memorial service for Mrs. Eunice Anne Bonney will be 2 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Riverwood Family.

Ms. Bonney, 63, of Wesson, MS, passed from this life March 28, 2022. She was born in Germany July 23, 1958,

to Milton Purvis and Eunice A. Roberts. She worked in Early Child Care Development.

She is preceded in death by her parents; stepdad, James “Sonny” Roberts; stepmother, Delores Purvis; and sister, Linda Faye Ingram.

Those she leaves behind are her son, Jason Elkins and wife Rachel; daughters, Michelle Willard and husband, Heath, Pam Smith and fiancé, Tim;

brothers, Larry Roberts and wife, Lawana, David Roberts and wife, Rosie; nine grandchildren, Cody Willard (Jordan), J.C. Smith (Montana),

Skylar Elkins, Dakota Willard, Hunter Smith, Mason Elkins (Kelsie), Brooke Willard, Gracie Smith, Aiden Elkins; two great grandchildren,

Karson McKay and Ahna Wooley; niece, Chelsea Bonner & children; nephews, Chris Bonner and children, Nikolia, Isiah, and Priscilla,

and Nicholas Roberts and Sean Roberts; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

We would like to give a special thanks to Hospice Ministries and her nurses, Emily, Brittany, Pat, and Brooke, as well as her aide, Regina, for their care

and compassion not only to our mother, but to our family.

A graveside service for Mrs. Laura Elizabeth Seale Brown of Sontag, are 2:00 pm on Friday, April 1, 2020,

at Carolina Memorial Gardens in Charleston, SC. J. Henry Stuhr Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Laura Elizabeth Seale Brown, 97, passed away, March 25, 2022. She was born on September 5, 1924, to the late Mack T. Seale

and Dorothea Temple Seale. She was a homemaker and was a member of John Wesley

United Methodist Church in Charleston SC.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jasper Davis Brown; brothers, Tullie Seale, Mason Seale,

Mack Seal, and L.B. Seale; sisters, Myrtle Reynolds, Mozelle Huff, and Estell Boutwell,

She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.

Kenneth Roberts

Funeral service for Mr. Kenneth Roberts will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Clear Branch Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, at Clear Branch.

Mr. Roberts, 86, of Wesson, passed from this life March 28, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Prentiss, MS, June 18, 1935. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Roberts returned home and married his sweetheart, Shirley Martin. He leaves a legacy of faith and integrity for his children and grandchildren to follow. He retired from law enforcement after 33 years, Chief of Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He was dedicated to the American Legion and enjoyed reminiscing of his service to his country. Mr. Roberts was a collector of several things including coins, stamps and old bottles. His humor and love of telling jokes could always lighten any heart. Mr. Roberts will be missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Nora Bell Roberts; four brothers and 5 sisters; and two great granddaughters, Harley Madison Johnson and Avery Ann Michael.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Shirley Roberts; sons, Wayne Roberts (Kim), Joe David Roberts (Donna), Dale Roberts (Monica); daughter, Cindy Martin (John Paul); brother, Will Roberts; nine grandchildren, Christy Michael (Kyle), Tommy Roberts (Megan), Courtney Martin, Brittany Boatman (Justin), Holly Roberts, Michael Roberts (Rebecca), Cody Roberts (Shelby), Summer Wallace (Blake), Matt Roberts (Kayleen); 15 great grandchildren and his devoted poodle, Dixie Darling, who never left his side. He is also survived by a host of other loving family members and friends.

Ronald Lee Watts

Funeral service for Mr. Ronald Lee Watts will be 11 a.m., Friday, April 1, 2022, at Topeka Baptist Church with burial in Roberts Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 31, and will resume Friday at 10 a.m., at Topeka Baptist Church.

Mr. Watts, 71, of Jayess, passed from this life March 27, 2022, at Lawrence County Hospital. He was born in Brookhaven, MS, August 22, 1950, to Othell Watts and Millere Freeman Watts. After graduating from high school, Mr. Watts began making a life for himself and his family. He worked in the oil field and also worked as a truck driver. Ronnie loved his family and friends; he would tell you to value each day you have together. He enjoyed life and loved his Lord, being forever grateful to God for proving that He really is a God of second chances. Ronnie will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his son, Wesley Watts; his father; and brothers, Clemon Watts and Ricky Watts.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Marion Watts; sons Hugh Watts and wife, Michelle and Nathan Watts and Amanda; daughters, Bethany Morgan and Tamara Morgan; his mother, Millere Watts; sisters, Charlotte Allen and Mona Futris; six grandchildren, Shelby (Ben), Stetson, Saydie (Brantley), Sara, Caroline, Kanah Joy; and one great granddaughter, Everleigh. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that were very dear to his heart, and a lifelong childhood friend, Walter Cain, along with his inherited grandchildren, Karter, Wylder, Kooper, Eli, Eden and Lizzie.

Marvin Roy Jolley

Graveside service for Mr. Marvin Roy Jolley will be 2 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2022, in Riverwood Memorial Park. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until the time of service at Riverwood.

Mr. Jolley, 94, of Brookhaven passed away peacefully at his home in Brookhaven, surrounded by his family, March 24, 2022. Mr. Jolley was born in Lepanto, AR, July 23, 1927, to the late, John Roy Jolley and Lector Bruce Jolley. He was retired from the Military after serving 23 years. He enjoyed working with his hands, from clock repair to bicycle repair, he loved keeping things running. He also liked spending time outside, a favorite hobby was beekeeping. Mr. Jolley will be greatly missed by his family and all who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Skylar Jolley and great granddaughter, Nöel Jeanson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, Ulla Jolley; sons, Manfred R. Jolley, wife, Angela; Chris Jolley, wife, Nelci; daughters, Diane Walsh, husband, Pat; and Sandra Jeanson, husband, Mike; along with seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Paul Kenneth Walker

Services for Mr. Paul Kenneth Walker of Brookhaven are 12:00 pm Tuesday, March 29, 2022,

at Riverwood Family with visitation from 10:00 until the time of the service.

Burial will be at Riverwood Memorial Park.

 

Paul Kenneth Walker, 83, went to be with his Lord on March 23, 2022.

He was born on May 23, 1938, to the late Oliver and Pauline Laverne Walker.

Mr. Walker was a proud military veteran having served his country for 22 years in the United States Army;

After his military service he became a master electrician. In his later years he loved gardening, raising cows,

and selling vegetables at the Farmers Market. He enjoyed traveling all over this country and loved telling a good story.

He was a hard worker, good provider, honest and a dedicated husband, father, and pawpaw. He has left many good memories to cherish.

 

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers-in-law, Lonnie Wilson and Harold Nations.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 59 years, Oree Allen Walker; daughter, Patricia Russell and husband, Scott; Tracy M. Thomas;

and Ramona Thomas and husband, Bruce. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Kevin Thomas, Jr. and wife, Whitney;

Abbey Russell Fleming and husband, Zach; Kacy Thomas; Ashley Thomas; Mandy Russell; Brooke Thomas Nevels and husband, Ryan,

and great grandchild Fleming, due in August; along with sisters, Mary (Richard Carroll) Nations Smith; Martha Williams;

brother-in law, Jerry (Barbara) Allen; sisters-in-law, Annette Wilson; and Doris (J.P.) Smith.

He will be dearly missed by all that loved and knew him.

Johnnie Belinda Smith

Graveside service for Johnnie Belinda Smith will be held 11 a.m., Friday, March 25, 2022,

at Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery.

 

Ms. Smith, 61, of Brookhaven, passed from this life March 20, 2022. She was born in Brookhaven September 5, 1960,

to Thomas Buel Smith and Christine Delaughter Smith. Belinda was a kind and loving soul, she enjoyed walking to

Allen’s Grocery to visit with her friends. She loved Jesus and found great peace in attending worship services with her faith family.

Reading her Bible was not just her hobby, it was her source of strength. She will be greatly missed by all that loved her.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

 

Those who are left to cherish her memory are her brother, Thomas Timothy “Tim” Smith; ex sister-in-law, Brenda Evans Smith;

her niece, Nicole Smith Prather and husband, Anthony and three great nephews.

Willie Ruth Thornhill

Funeral service for Willie Ruth Thornhill will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 23,

at Powell’s Grove United Pentecostal Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

 

Mrs. Thornhill, 87, of Jayess, passed from this life March 19, 2022, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

She was born in Wetumpka, Alabama, October 4, 1934. Mrs. Willie was faithful to care for her family and home,

but she also enjoyed tending her flowers. She was a music enthusiast, listening to gospel music and picking up her guitar and singing for the joy it brought to her heart.

You were always welcome at Mrs. Willie’s home, she loved for company to stop in and drink coffee with her, her hospitality and welcoming heart will be greatly missed.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Dean Thornhill; parents, Clayton Alexander and Lessie Lee Alexander Price;

brothers, Jack Alexander and Jessie Alexander; and sister, Bennie Lee Powell.

 

Those remaining to cherish her memory are, her son, Ronnie Thornhill and wife, Cindy; daughters, Brenda Ruth Wallace and husband, Wayne and Sheila Lea Chandler;

brother, Randolf Alexander; sister, Josephine Thornhill; four grandchildren, Colby Chandler, DaRon Thornhill, Shannon Thornhill, and Cassidy Townsend;

six great grandchildren, Karci Chandler, Blakely Thornhill, Wesson Thornhill, Skylar Thornhill, Holland Thornhill, and Lawson Thornhill.

She is also survived by son-in-law, Frank Chandler, as well as other loving family members and friends.
