Hugh Howard "Pee Wee" Ivy, Jr.

The funeral service for Mr. Hugh Howard “Pee Wee” Ivy, Jr. will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Riverwood Family, with interment at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service.

“Pee Wee” was born October 18, 1942, to his parents, Hugh Howard Ivy, Sr. and Sarah Lee McDavid Ivy.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Becky Ivy.

Margaret Price Hedglin

Services for Mrs. Margaret Price Hedglin of Bogue Chitto are 2:00 pm Friday, October 4, 2019

at Riverwood Family Funeral Service of Brookhaven, Mississippi and burial at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is from 1:00 pm until time of service on Friday.

 

Mrs. Margaret Price Hedglin, 87, went to be with her Lord on October 1, 2019 at Hospice Ministries.

She was born on February 11, 1932 to the late Riley Simpson Price and Lena Mae Price.

She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother.

 

Mrs. Hedglin was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Carl Jay Hedglin.

 

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, John Hedglin and wife, Kay, Mike Hedglin and wife, Cherri

and Tommy Hedglin and wife, Judy.

She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Sheila Rene Campbell Frazier

There will be a Memorial Gathering for Sheila Rene Campbell Frazier of Brookhaven

are Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Riverwood Family Funeral Service.

 

Sheila Rene Campbell Frazier, 70, passed away on September 30, 2019 at her residence.

She was born on January 29, 1949 to the late Julian Roy Frazier and Glendon Tullis.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

 

Those left to cherish her memorial are her son, Michael Kanyon Campbell and spouse, Michael Banuelos; daughters, Margret Elizabeth Campbell King,

Priscilla Kathryn Campbell Daniels and husband, David; brothers, Roy J. Frazier, II., Dan Frazier and sister, Gayle Frazier.

She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren, Brent Fielder, Ayreahna Mooney and Devin Delaughter and 4 great-great children.

Memorials can be made to the French Camp Academy.

Lois Nelson Moore

Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Nelson Moore will be 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at Riverwood Family, with interment in Riverwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.

Mrs. Moore, 87, of Hazlehurst, passed away September 29, 2019. She was born September 27, 1932 to Louis and Eula Mae Nelson. She met and married her husband, Herbert Leonard Moore and they were married 63 years, being separated by his death. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Brookhaven, and co-owner of Herbert L. Moore, Inc. for 45 years. She is a past member of Daughters of American Revolution, an honorary member of the Willing Hearts Circle, and she was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was her passion. She was also a very special aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Moore; parents; four brothers; and grandson, Steven Matthew McBride.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Melinda Moore McBride and husband, Steve, and Phyllis Moore Wallace, all of Brookhaven; son, Jerry Moore and wife Cathy of Brookhaven; grandchildren, Marcus McBride, Kimberly McBride Goza and husband, Ben, Blake Wallace and wife Allison, Erica Wallace Simmons and husband, Blake, Allyson Wallace Smith and husband, Michael, Taylor Wallace and wife Kelly, Chris Moore and wife Leah, Chad Moore and wife Whitney; and great grandchildren, Jase McBride, Lleyton, Beckett, Lynley, and Graham Goza, Tucker, Katherine, Piker, John Patrick Wallace, Ryker, Conar, Zoey, and Madi Simmons, Hollis Smith, Kipton and Kaston Wallace, James, Micah, Grace, Annaleigh, Ava Claire, Bethany, and Chapman Moore.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Building Fund or International Missions Board.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Joyce Wright and Mattie Crockett.

Mrs. Katie Jackson Burleson, 32, of Brookhaven passed away on September 25, 2019.

She was born on February 14, 1987.

Katie was a 2005 graduate of Brookhaven Academy and attended Mississippi State.

She was a homemaker and loved all things involving her children and was an incredible supporter

of her daughter’s cheer team at Mississippi Spirit.

She was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister and will be missed by all that knew her and loved her.

 

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Wes Burleson; mother, Debra Davis Jackson;

father, Dane Jackson and wife, Lori Thornhill Jackson; daughters, Lynlee Kate Gant, Harper Miles Burleson,

Mr. Robert “Pee Wee” Glen Walker, 60 went to be with his Lord on September 25, 2019 at his residence.

He was born on July 27, 1959 to Almond Walker and Cleo Marie Walker.

Mr. Walker loved hunting and fishing and grew up on Black Lake in Campti, LA.,

and he was a great welder.

 

Preceding him in death were his father; godchild and niece, Samantha Coleman and great nephew, Bradon.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Lanita Walker of Hazlehurst; mother, Cleo Marie of Campti, LA;

son, William Pete Moreau; daughter, Bridget Nicole Walker of Coushatta, LA.,

twin daughters, Misty Glynn and Mandy Lynn Walker both of Hazlehurst and Dana Moreau of Hazlehurst;

brothers, Chuck Walker and wife, Raynell of TX., and Dennis Walker and wife, Pam of Natchitoches LA.;

sisters, Toni Beaudoin and husband, Patrick and Glenda Carter, both of Campti, LA.

He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Amber Hisaw of Hazlehurst, Addison Roy of Baton Rouge, LA.,

twins, Arron and Albree Roy of Baton Rouge, Ava and Aiden Walker, and Case and Brett Moreau, all of Hazlehurst.

Michael Byrne

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Byrne will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 27,

at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with interment in Mt. Olive Church of Christ Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, September 26, at Riverwood.

Michael Julius “Bernie” Byrne, 64, of Brookhaven, passed from this life September 24, 2019, at Country Brook Nursing Center.

He was born November 11, 1954, to L.C. Byrne and Myrtle Richardson Byrne. Michael was a 1973 graduate of Brookhaven Academy

and completed his education with a bachelor’s degree. He was the District 2 Election Supervisor for 15 years. He was a member of the

Lions Club and was a person with deep love and compassion for people. He also loved anything farm related.

He was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Julius & Cornie Richardson and Reasy & Willie Mae Byrne and Edwin Rank.

 

Those who are left to cherish his memory are his sister and brother-in-law, Tammy Byrne Jackson and Bruce Jackson; and by his beloved aunt,

Laura Ann Byrne Whetzel and by numerous cousins, whom he treasured.

Services for Felda Collins Martin of Brookhaven are 2:00 pm,

from 1:00 pm until time of service with burial at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

Mr. Felda Collins Martin, 93, went to be with his Lord on September 22, 2019

at Diversicare Living Center. He was born on November 28, 1925 to the late Edgar Collins Martin, Sr. and Bazzie Lee Delaughter Martin.

He was a retired Police Captain and served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Martin was a member of Union Baptist Church.

 

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Jewel Martin;

brothers, Edgar Collins Martin, Jr., Edward Marvin Martin and sister, Bobbie Nell Martin Hart.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Randy S. Kenner and wife, Stacy; daughter, Sandra Martin Hugg and husband, David;

5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Grady Lee Wilkerson

Services for Mr. Grady Lee Wilkerson of Brookhaven are 11:00 am Thursday, September 26, 2019

at Riverwood with visitation from 9:00 am until time of service. Burial at Mars Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Grady Lee Wilkerson, 92, went to be with his Lord on September 21, 2019 at his residence.

He was born on October 12, 1926 to the late John Preston Wilkerson and Vera Barron Wilkerson,

of East Fork Community in Liberty, MS.

He was a member of First Baptist Church Brookhaven. Mr. Grady was a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Air Force

where he retired after 20 years. The discipline and patriotism he learned, never left him. He later was the owner

of Gradys Barber Shop where he took pride in the fact that he always left customers satisfied.

He was a member of the VFW and was an Eagle Scout Master. He also enjoyed square dancing and was a member

of Dixie Dancers Square Dance Club of Brookhaven for many years also the Mississippi British Car Association

where he showed his MGB and Triumph Spitfire.

 

Preceding him in death were his parents; first wife, Vera Clarco Wilkerson of Syracuse, New York;

brother, Vernon Dee; sister, Annie Doris; niece, Denese Van Norman; sisters-in-law, Lila Wilkerson and Sue Wilkerson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Donna Johnston Wilkerson; sons, Grady Lee Wilkinson, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA

and Darrin Guilbeau, of Durango, CO. He is also survived by brother, John Wilkerson, of Yorktown, Texas; and

sister, Marie Van Norman of Smithdale, MS.; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

 

The family wishes to thank Hospice Compassus and Dr. Ray Montalvo for their care of Mr. Grady.

Donation can be given to the VFW in his memory.

Jimmie Earl Adams

Services for Mr. Jimmie Earl Adams of Bogue Chitto are 11:00 am Wednesday September 25, 2019

Mr. Jimmie Earl Adams, 77, passed away September 21, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his wife of 58 years and family and friends.

He was born on July 16, 1942 to the late Jessie George Adams and Doris Lillian Ramsey Speed in Brownwood, Texas.

Jimmie was an avid outdoorsman. He was a retired consultant for the Oilfield and served in the United States Air Force

and was a 3rd Degree Master of the Masonic Lodge in Bogue Chitto.

 

Preceding him in death were his parents; son-in-law, Billy Norman and brother, Eddie Speed.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lucy Ann Wessel Adams; son, John Earl Adams; daughters, Ina Jackson and husband, Casey,

Gina King and husband, Gary and Debra Nieburg and husband Stan; brothers, William Adams of Atlanta GA., Alan Speed and wife, Beth of Jal, NM.,

Jack Harris and wife, Jolitta of San Angelo, TX.; sister, Brenda Speed Clinton and husband, Terry of Midland TX.

He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, James Nieburg and wife, LeAnn, Jonathan King and wife, Haley, Danielle Dye,

Savannah Smith and husband, Patrick, Joshua Nieburg and wife, Jessica, Jessie Adams and wife, Kelsey, Johnna Norman and Stratton Jackson.

He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and Bryson Lofton and Shane Lofton that he thought of as his sons.
