at O’Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County. Visitation is at Riverwood beginning at Noon on Wednesday.
Ms. Sylvia Irene Jordan, 61, of Meadville, passed from this life January 18, 2021 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, MS.
She was born in Brookhaven October 1, 1959, to her parents, James Leslie Jordan and Glayds Evon McManus Jordan.
Sylvia worked as a PSE Clerk for the United States Postal Service in the McCall Creek Post Office. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her sister, Marlene Arnold and husband, Rogers along with her nephews,
Michael Arnold and wife, Katie, Billy Arnold, one great niece, Morgan and one great nephew, Grayson.
Graveside service for Mrs. Mary Louise Young will be 10 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Riverwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Young was given 96 years on earth and entered her eternal home January 18, 2021.
She began her pilgrimage here September 29, 1924, born in Hammond, Louisiana to her parents, Parson B. and Hazel Narretta Smith.
She was a graduate of Brookhaven High School. During her life she spent 42 years as Office Manager at the Lincoln County Health
Department as well as maintained her household. Mrs. Mary Louise was a member of First Baptist Church in Brookhaven.
Her influence will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her, and she leaves a legacy of love, honor and faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William Collins Young.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her daughter, Angie Cox and husband, Joe; two grandchildren, Wade Cox and wife, Katie and
Claire Cox Strong and husband, Jonathan; three great grandchildren, Griffin Collins Cox, Gage Hamilton Cox, and Arthur Norwood Strong.

Graveside service for Mr. Floyd Troulliet, Sr. will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at
Nettle Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. at Riverwood Family until 10:15 a.m.
Mr. Troulliet, 77, of Westwego, Louisiana, passed from this life January 17, 2021, in West Jefferson
Medical Hospital. He was born in New Orleans August 24, 1943 to his parents, Inguanis Troulliet and
Rita Troulliet.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois Troulliet; and sister, Catherine Packard.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Floyd Troulliet, Jr. (Sean), Karen Williams, Stacy Pugh,
Wanda Troulliet (Tommy); brothers, Tommy Troulliet (Violet), Anthony Troulliet, Armand Troulliet (Deloris);
sister, Linda Baldwin (Albert); and brother-in-law, Johnnie Packard; ten grandchildren, Mark Williams, Jr.,
Brian Williams, Richelle Troulliet, Jeremy Troulliet, Krissy Pugh, Krystal Pugh, Kallie Pugh, Blaine Hayes,
Trevor Hayes, Trey Hayes; 13 great grandchildren and a host of other loving family members and friends.
Funeral service for Mrs. Irene B. Smith will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2021,
at Riverwood Family with interment in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in McCall Creek.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Riverwood. Rev. Troy Burroughs will officiate.
Mrs. Smith, was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, and extended to great great grandchildren.
She lived 96 years here on earth, born to her parents, J.W. Beck and Lettie S. Beck, December 1, 1924,
and entered her eternal home January 15, 2021.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bertram Smith; two sons, Felix Smith and Larry Smith; and four sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sue McCleary and husband, Pat and Pat Lindsey and husband, Dave;
brothers, J.W. Beck and Fulton Beck; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 10 great, great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by one daughter-in-law, Jane Smith as well as other loving family members and friends.
Mr. James Earl Foster, 76 went to his eternal home to be with his Lord and Savior, on January 13, 2021.
He was born on May 10, 1944, in Brookhaven MS, to the late Mary Alice Carr Foster and Elbert Armis Foster.
James loved the outdoors, farming, and his lifelong passion of playing music. His love of music and sharing
of his knowledge will live on for generations with those who knew and loved him. He was known by some
as “Mr. Jiffy Mart” and a “Wild Child”.
Those left to cherish his memory wife Vicky Henley Foster. His Sons, James Anthony Foster and wife, Shawna,
Joseph Bentley Foster, James Cody Foster and wife Ashley. James Everett Wilson, Victoria Lynn Wilson, and
Georgia Rose Wilson. His grandchildren Blake Edward Foster, Rainie Paige Foster, Danielle grace Foster,
Ryleigh Jayde Foster, Lyric Bentley Foster, Zyan Noah Foster, Summit Rose Foster, Iris Grace Foster.
His surviving siblings Vera Mae Strahan, and host of Nieces and Nephews.
In lieu of a traditional service and memorial, a celebration of life with a social event will be held at a later date.

Robert “Sonny” Earl Taylor was born February 14, 1947, in Quitman, Mississippi
to A.I. “Bud” and Doris Goree Taylor, and died January 15, 2021, at University of
Mississippi Medical Center due to complications from congestive heart failure.
Robert was a coach and teacher in the Natchez Public Schools for 30 years and
then in Concordia Parish for 10 years.
Robert was a member of Eddiceton Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sally Gagliardi Taylor and several aunts,
uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. William Carey Beeson, 85, of Brookhaven, MS, entered eternal rest on Friday, January 15, 2021,
at Haven Hall Healthcare Center. He was born November 24, 1935, in Brookhaven, MS, to
William Clarence Beeson and Clara Laird Allgood Beeson. He was a member of Bethel Temple
Pentecostal Church in Brookhaven. He worked at Samuels Furniture and Appliance for 45 years
or more and later owned and operated Beeson Appliance. He loved his family and his church family.
He was a loving husband, a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
Preceding him in death are his parents; his first wife, of 49 years, Bobbie Rials Beeson, his second
wife, of 15 years, Irene Deer Beeson; siblings, W. Cullen Beeson, K.C. Beeson, James L. Beeson,
Adolph Allgood, Harold Allgood, Bobby Lee Beeson, Lexie Allgood Walker, Annie Marie Allgood Beeson,
Nelleane Allgood Harveston Smith, Earnestine Allgood White McKey, Corrine Allgood Damico,
Flora Mae Forrest Steir, and Margaret Allgood Ritchie; son-in-law, Sammy Bates and stepdaughter, Susie Wall.
Those left to cherish his memory are, his two daughters, Karen Joy Moak (Jimmy) of Wesson, MS,
Reba Gale Bates of Collins, MS; two stepdaughters, Debby Simmons (Terry) of East Fork, MS, and
Sherry Wilson of Magee, MS; brother, Harold Ray Beeson (Ann) of Monticello, MS; grandchildren,

Mr. Turner, 75, of Wesson, passed from this life January 14, 2021 at his residence.
He was born in Grenada, Mississippi, November 21, 1945, to his parents,
Isaac Lafayette Turner, Sr. and Ruth Marie Timmons Turner. He was a
carpenter by trade and a member of Strong Hope Baptist Church. He was a
loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly
missed by all his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Gloria Turner; sons,
Scottie Turner, Van Turner (Anna), and Brad Turner; daughter, Kim Runyan (Dean); sisters,

Mr. Rawls, 86, of Bogue Chitto, passed from this life and entered eternity January 13, 2021.
He was born to John Smith Rawls and Lelia Butler Rawls, May 29, 1934. He was a member of Moak’s Creek Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include family members, Pete Rawls, Gale “Cooter” Rawls, and wife, Geraldine, and Elizabeth Rawls.

Friday, January 15, 2021 at his residence on China Grove Dr.
Mr. Melvin Edwin Case, 74, went to be with his Lord on January 12, 2021.
He was born on December 7, 1946 to the late, Louie Edwin Case and Leoma Thompson Kinsley.
Mr. Case served his country in the United States Army. He was self employed as an owner and operator of his trucking company.
He was a member of East Lincoln Baptist Church. He enjoyed farming, racing, trucking, riding horses, working on his land, and watching his cows.
He also enjoyed spending time with his family and going out to eat with them every Friday night. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Cloy Case, and his little dog, Minnie.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Norma Frances Case; son, Dewain Case and wife, Katasha;
daughter, Sheila Case Smith and husband, Chris; 4 grandchildren, Brooke Smith, Brieann Bessonette and husband Steven,
Blake Case, Nathan Case and 2 great grandchildren, Hazelynn and Anola Bessonette, along with a host of cousins, friends and his only niece, Kristy Case Hoop, and husband, Rusty, and his little dog Daisy.
