Ms. Dunaway, 63, of Monticello, died on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born in Florida on November 13, 1961, to Thomas Clayton Garris and Margaret Nadine Ketring.
Ginger, as she was affectionately known to family and friends, was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She retired from Walmart Distribution. She was a hard-working lady and always provided for her children. She enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of her animals. Her favorite pastime was being with her grandchildren. Ginger will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents and stepdad, Ellis Denver Howell; sister, Sandra Denise Howell; brother-in-law, Joe Henry, Sr.; and nephews, Joe Henry, Jr. and Kyle Howell.
Survivors include her children, Joseph Lane Dunaway and Misty Lynn Dunaway; brother, Ellis Howell, Jr.; sisters, Tammy Michell Martin (Marty), Teresa Lynn Rutland; three grandchildren, Abbie Kate Ritchey, Emma Klaire Ritchey, and Brooklyn Marie Dunaway; and by a host of nieces, nephews, and greats.
