Gwendolyn Ann Ledet Wallace, 77, a native of Houma and resident of Bogue Chitto, MS, passed away on Friday, May 15.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Terry M. Wallace, Sr; 4 children, Terry Wallace, Jr. and wife, Kelly,
David Wallace, Kayla Wallace Fornof and husband, Col. Terrence Fornof, and Monica Wallace;
6 grandchildren, Justin Fornof, Capt. Alexander Fornof (Rachel), Candice Vicknair (Eric), Victoria Wallace,
Michael Wallace, Leyla Lewis; and 1 great-grandchild, Landon Parfait.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Ledet and Rosalie Pye Ledet, her brother, Daniel Ledet,
and her in-laws, Vernon Wallace, Sr. and Virginia Toups Wallace.
Gwen was a retired school teacher aid for Terrebonne Parrish School Board for 20 years.
No arrangements have been made at this time.
Mr. Michael Charles Stamps, 59, of Silver Creek went to be with his Lord on May 15, 2020, at his home.
He was born on August 6, 1960, to the late Charles Houston Stamps and Margaret Nell Thurman Stamps.
He was a Plumber and Electrician and business owner.
Mr. Stamps was a member of Arm Baptist Church. He was a 3rd Degree Master Mason and a member of Silver Creek Masonic Lodge.
He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sharon Barnes Stamps; son, Justin Stamps; daughter, Jennifer Keyes; and sister, Cindy Vince.
He is also survived by four grandchildren, Aidan Stamps, Blake Stamps, Claire Keyes, and Emma Keyes.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 21 at 11.00 am. It will be held outside due to social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Vencie Ladell “Smokey” Smith, 87, went to be with his Lord on May 15, 2020, at St Dominic’s Hospital. He was born on August 23, 1933,
to the late Claude Brantley Smith and Emily Catherine Covington Smith.
Mr. Smith served in the United States Army and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was retired from Holsum Bread Company, Flovo-Rich Milk Company,
and as a driver for Smith Logging.
He was an outstanding, self-taught violinist. He loved country music and especially gospel music. He also loved playing in the band with his brothers.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Earlene McCaffrey Smith; parents; brothers,
Roger Smith, David Talmadge Smith, and Shaffer Smith; great-niece, Kimberly F. Lofton, nephew, Ron Herrington; brothers-in-law, Bill McCaffery,
James Lloyd McCaffery, Claude McCaffery; sisters-in-law, Helen Stubbs, Dorothy Coke, and Theresa Whittington.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Kenneth Smith, and wife, Martha; sisters-in-law, Diane Burnett and husband Leroy, Jean Burnett
and husband James; ex sister-in-law, Faye Smith; along with special nieces, Rita Cook and husband Roy, Nita Case, Viva McGowen; great-niece, Alexis Cook;

Mrs. Seldon Laverne Owens, 89, of Brookhaven, went to be with her Lord on May 15, 2020.
She was born on May 3, 1931, to the late Emmett Porter and Sudie Beatrice Porter.
Mrs. Owens was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church, and a member of Eastern Star, Pilot Club, King Daughters Auxillary;
and served as a Girl Scout Leader, Sunday School Teacher, and G.A. Leader. She was also an avid golfer.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Juele Dean Owens; her parents;
granddaughters, Jane Ellen Roberts and Jessica Leann Pigg; and brothers, Euell and Kenneth Porter.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Shirley Montgomery and husband, Jimmy, Kathy Roberts, Betty Sharpe and husband, Kevin and Julie Horton and husband, Phil;
brother, Harold Porter, and sister, Joyce Wooten. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Terry Spencer, Jim Montgomery,

along with 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside Service for Mr. Donald Henderson Wall, Jr. is 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 19, 2020, with burial at Union Hall Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Donald Henderson Wall, Jr., 65, went to be with his Lord on May 14, 2020, at his home.
He was born on March 11, 1955.
Mr. Wall worked for General Motors and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
He enjoyed playing softball, bass fishing, hunting, and loved all kinds of music, especially gospel,
and loved to sing along and operate the sound equipment for Gloryland Quartet.
He also enjoyed tinkering with small motors and filming wildlife, riding his lawnmower, and playing with his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his father, Donald Henderson Wall, Sr. and mother, JoLynn McDonald Wall Brown.

Mr. Willard Arthur Harvey, 87, of McComb, MS, died May 13, 2020, at Southwest Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Oak Grove, Louisiana, December 23, 1932, to his parents, Joseph Mack Harvey, Sr. and Effie Wilma Beckworth Harvey.
He served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, McComb Branch.
Mr. Harvey worked in the medical field as an x-ray technician. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed working in the garden.
He leaves a legacy of love in the family he leaves behind.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby C. Harvey; his parents; and one grandson, Benjamin Woods; and five brothers and one sister.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Willard A. Harvey, Jr. and family, Brooks R. Harvey and family, Reed J. Harvey and family,

There will be a memorial service for Mr. Harvey at Bury Military Cemetery in Biloxi at a later date.
A graveside service will be held for Mr. William Henry Sides at 10:30 a.m.,
Friday, May 15, 2020, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Sides, 80, of Bogue Chitto, passed away May 13, 2020, at his residence.
He was born in Ashland, MS, July 25, 1939, to LeRoy Sides and Mary Ollie Leopard Green.
He was a minister of the gospel and a member of the Church of God.
Mr. Sides served his country in the United States Marines.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Randall Sides, Curtis Sides,
James Sides and Jimmy Sides; sisters, Emmie Lee McClure and Sadie Mae Sides;
grandsons, Stephen Sides, Denton Sides, and Preston McPeak and great granddaughter, Linda Blake Wallace.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Emma Doreatha Bond Sides; son,
Steve (Red) Sides and wife Connie, and Brent Boston; stepsons, Stephen Sirkel,
David Sirkel and wife, Michelle; daughter, Chandra Smith
and husband, Rocky, step daughters, Louise Mouser and husband, Bob, Barbara Gregg and husband,
Mike, Brenda Maynard and husband, Larry, Sheila Sirkel, Cheryl Anderson and husband,
Doug, and Amy Fauver and husband, Lance; sisters, Molly Faye Baker and Mary Tole;
and sisters-in-law, Nellie Sides and Paulette Sides. He is also survived by three grandchildren,
Myranda Wheatley and husband Michael, Dallas Wallace and husband Cory, and Breean Saulnier;
and 13 great grandchildren. Mr. Sides also leaves behind a host of family and
friends in Texas and Tennessee.
Graveside service for Mrs. Mavis Ann Walker Warren will be 3 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2020, at
Union Hall Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be a family visitation from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
Friday before the service at Riverwood.
Mrs. Warren, 82, of Brookhaven, passed from this life on May 13, 2020. She was born November 16, 1937,
to Emmitt Roy Walker and Lexie M. Allgood Walker. During her lifetime she worked many jobs as
well as cared for her husband and sons. She was a seamstress with Sthal Urban for a season and
then she worked with Bellsouth Telephone. Flowers were a favorite pastime for her. She loved
the beauty and fragrance of each one. Mavis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother to 20 beautiful
grandchildren, and great grandmother of 13. She enjoyed a life well-lived along with the sorrows
and pains that she endured and will be missed by all the knew and loved her as well as her family
of friends at Union Hall Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents and three sons, Mike Nations, Dennis Nations, and Johnny Nations.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jesse James Warren; sons, Roy Nations and wife, Liz,
Chris Nations, Jesse James Warren II and wife, Trisha, and James Donald Warren; brothers, Emmitt Paul Walker

A graveside service will be held for Mr. Charles Virgil Case at 3 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2020, at Gum Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Case, 84, of McCall Creek, died May 11, 2020, at his residence. He was born February 15, 1936, to Homer L. Case and Modena Keen Case. He was a business owner and a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Mr. Charles came up in a time when life values were high, and he was taught the importance of hard work and family. Aside from his business, he enjoyed syrup making and hauling fresh produce. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in Franklin County. Mr. Charles will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Preceding him in death are his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Dorothy Case and his grandson, Stephen Patrick Cupit.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jewell Faye Case; daughters, Linda Cupit and husband, Billy Pat, and Sandy Berry and husband, Mike; brothers, Rev. Lonnie J. There will be a private graveside service for Mrs. Linda Faye Murray, 10 a.m., Thursday morning, May 14, 2020, at O’Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Murray, 74, of Meadville, passed from this life May 12, 2020 at her residence, Aston Courts, in McComb. She was born December 10, 1946, to her parents, J.J. Wallace and Vera Maye Grooms Wallace. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Linda will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Murray, Sr. ; parents; and her son, Bobby Murray Jr.
