Mrs. Barnes, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, November 5, 2021. She was born in Simpson County May 14, 1931, to Victor M. Harris and Estelle Walker Harris. She was retired from the teaching profession and a member of Topeka Baptist Church. Fishing is usually considered an enjoyment for men, but Mrs. Barnes’ favorite thing to do was go fishing. She also liked gardening, shopping, and most of all, spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Alton Everett and Jack C. Barnes; and daughter, Susan Everett Vaughn.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Al Everett (Marsha) and Victor Everett (Sheri); ten grandchildren, Ryan Everett (Kaylan), Trent Everett (Rhonda), Ashlee Britt (Stuart), Cory Everett (Kacy), Lindsey Bartley (David), Austin Everett, Elizabeth Campbell, Taylor Everett (Caroleah), Emily Bryan (Corey), and Thomas Campbell. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren as well as other loving family members and friends. Also left to cherish her memory are her bonus children, Jackie, Ann, Kenny and Sondra and their spouses and families, who she loved as she loved her own.

visitation from 10:00 until the time of service. With burial at New Sight Cemetery.
Mr. Hillary “Pete” Dixon, 93, passed away November 3, 2021, at his home.
He was born on December 13, 1927, to the late W.M. “Bill” Dixon and Ida Smith Dixon Emfinger.
Mr. Dixon served his country in the United States Army. He was a retired operator for Shell Oil Company. Hillary was a
member of the American Legion and a Mason. He was also a member New Sight Baptist Church and was an avid gardener.
Preceding him in death were his wives, Virginia Dixon, Merlin Porter Dixon and Hazel Dixon; daughters, Troylyn Furlow
and husband James, and Brenda Gail Dixon, siblings, Loyce Dixon Mason, Dorothy Dixon Bacle, Maida Dixon Arnold,
Ina Dixon Arnold, W.M. “Billy” Dixon, Jr., and Sidney Emfinger.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Michael. L. McDavid and wife, Becky,
daughter, Sandra McDavid Martin; brother, Kenneth Emfinger; along with five grandchildren, Misty Nabors and
husband, Ben, Dustin McDavid and wife, Laura, Kelly McCullough and husband, Mark, Michelle Furlow and Caleb McDavid
and wife, Kacie, ten great grandchildren, Noel Crittenden and husband, Josh, Joy Nabors, Isabelle Nabors, Ashton McCullough,
Skyler McCullough, Noah McDavid, Silas McDavid, Asher McDavid, Payden McDavid and Aria McDavid, one great-great grandson,
Archer Crittenden, and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral service for Mr. Thomas Lee Hart will be 11 a.m., Friday, November 5, at Calvary Baptist Church,
with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
Mr. Hart, 66, of Brookhaven, passed away November 3, 2021, at Southwest Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS.
He was born in Mt. Olive, MS to Robert Lee Hart and Virginia Allen Hart. He enjoyed fishing and deer hunting in the
Delta when he had time off from his business. He was an accomplished carpenter and owned his own construction
business which he began over 30 years ago and has remained to this day. His greatest pleasure was spending valuable
time with his grandchildren. Another favorite thing was watching westerns on T.V. Mr. Hart gave his life to Jesus Christ
on November 15th , 2020, at Calvary Baptist Church, his faith has now become sight. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Hart is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Debra Hart.
Those who remain to cherish his memory are his son, Eric Hart and wife, Ronnye; daughter, Sondra Lee Smith and husband,
Brennon; brothers, Robert Earl Hart and William Buck Hart; sisters, Patricia Ann Storey and Martha Ann Smith; three grandchildren,
Gregory Brock, Mason Hart, Matthew Hart; and two great grandchildren, Paxton Brock and Aubreann Brock.
Funeral service for Lisa Violet Kyzar will be 2 p.m., Friday, November 5, at Riverwood Family.

Ms. Kyzar, 61, of Ruth, passed away November 2, 2021, at her residence. She was born in Brookhaven, MS, June 3, 1960,
to Walter Ford Kyzar and Annie Margaret Boutwell Warren. She was a store manager in the grocery retail business
and a attended Topisaw Baptist Church. Violet enjoyed watching football with her brother, Marco and working in her yard.
She liked to spend time shopping with her mom, and she also enjoyed and loved her family and friends.
Violet was honored as 2014 Woman of the Year from Women of the Word Ministry.
She is preceded in death by her father, Walter Ford Kyzar and her brother, Gordon Kyzar.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Ann Warren and husband, Tom;
brother, Marco Kyzar and wife, Susan; sister, Donna Faye Spencer; nieces, Ashley Kyzar, Melody Lynch (Beau) and their children,
Kiptyn and Mila; and honorary sisters, Wanda Golden and Debra Harper. She is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

Mrs. Martha, 77, of Brookhaven, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, November 2, 2021. She began this walk
September 26, 1944, born in Brookhaven, MS, to Horace Cato, Jr. and Louise Stewart Cato. She was a 1962 graduate of Brookhaven High School
and a member of Fair River Baptist Church.
Martha Cato Lofton, our rock, our go to, and our center. Her love for the Lord
radiated through her every word and action. Her life was love, and to love was her gift. Always a friend and encourager to all. Martha married
the love of her life, Fleet, in 1962. They worked side by side in everything they did. They were lifelong members of Fair River Baptist Church,
where they both served wherever needed. She was a member of the choir and taught Sunday School for over 30 years and served on numerous
pastor search committees. Giving candy to the children on Sunday mornings was a joy to "MiMi", but her biggest joy was her card ministry.
Through these cards Martha was able to express her sincere words of encouragement, of healing and comfort, and God's love. Nothing pleased
her more than watching her children and grandchildren play ball at Brookhaven Academy where she was a founding member of the Grand Cougar Club.
Martha always enjoyed Christian music, and to sum up her love for the Lord, her new favorite song says it all: 'Let Me Tell You About My Jesus'.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Fleet Lofton; her parents; grandson, Russ Michael Mangold; brother, Michael Ralph Cato; in-laws,
Clint and Virgie Ruth Lofton; brothers-in-law, Cortez Byrd and Danny Watts; sister-in-law, Barbara Byrd; and nephew, Reggie Watts.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are, her son, Michael Cato Lofton; daughter, Michelle Lofton Mangold and husband, Vince; granddaughter,
Anna Katelyn Mangold; sisters, Beverly Cato Watts and Lucy Cato Goodson and husband, Tommy; aunt, Peggy Smith; nephews and nieces, Terry Byrd and

Della May Storms age 87 of Slaughter, LA passed away August 28, 2021. Della Storms was an Artist and Art Instructor
for more than 50 years in the Baker, Baton Rouge, Zachary and Slaughter area.
Lovingly remembered by children Teresa Huegler and husband Biddy, George Storms and wife Lisa, Tina Mullen, and
David Storms and wife Tiffany. Grandchildren Colton and Denise, Carey and Barbara, Baylee, Candace and Shea, Cody
and Natalie, Kristen, Jacob, Luke, and Samuel. Grandchildren Brendon, Cole, Caden, Conner, Caitlyn, Ava, Killian, Harrison,

Harold Melvin Tarver, Sr. 70; known to many as "Melvin", resident of Gillsburg, passed from this life on
November 1, 2021, at Southwest MS Regional Medical Center.
Born on November 6, 1950, Melvin grew up in McComb, MS. and later made his home in Kentwood, LA. and
finally resting in Gillsburg, MS. A hardworking farmer, Melvin was employed with Beans Farm for thirty years in Gillsburg.
Proceeding Melvin in death were his adopted parents, Sewell and Dora Tarver of the Eastfork community.
Gladys Marie Beckwith, Bonnie Faye Beckwith and Leslie Vernon Waldrop of Arkansas.
Melvin was survived by a son, Skip Tarver and wife Michelle of Brookhaven. A daughter Angela Marie Tarver of Gillsburg.
Two granddaughters, Kitty Tarver Warren of Brookhaven, Cherokee Noel Tarver of Gillsburg and one great grandson
John Michael Warren of Brookhaven.
Surviving Melvin also is a sister, Diane Graham of McComb; brother Len and wife Patsy McRainey of Gulfport; brother,
Donald Wayne Stewart of Gulfport and brother Richard McRainey of Seminary, MS along with a host of special friends.
Services for Melvin will be held at a later date at the Eastfork Baptist Church Cemetery in Amite County.

Mr. Earl L. Walker, Jr. (Bubba) died October 31, 2021 at home in Flowood Ms. He was born on July 27, 1963 to Earl L. Walker, Sr. and Maxine P. Walker.
He was a graduate of Brookhaven High School, Mississippi College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He was a member of First Baptist Church
of Jackson and an active member of the adult choir.
He was preceded in death by his father Earl L. Walker, Sr., paternal grandparents James C. Walker and Sallie B. Walker,
maternal grandparents Maxie M. Price and Velma Price Dale.
Survivors are his mother Maxine P. Walker, sister Peggy W. McDowell (Jessie), niece Jessica M. Davis (Ryan), nephew Benjamin J. McDowell
(Candace), great nephews Tripp Cooper McDowell and Brooks Camden Davis, great nieces Linley Price Davis, Adaline Harper McDowell and
Maren Elizabeth Davis, Aunt Bettye Weissinger and special friend Debbie Foster.

She was born on September 15, 1966.

Mr. Calvin Michael McCaffrey, 72, went to be with his Lord on October 29, 2021, at Kings Daughters Medical Center.
He was born on October 12, 1949.
Mr. McCaffrey served his country in the United States National Guard.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a member of the local 1098 Carpenters Union in Baton Rouge, LA.
He worked at the Nuclear Plant in St. Francisville LA, he retired in 1992.
Calvin enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and loved spending time at the camp with his family in Monterey, LA.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Russell “Ham” McCaffrey and Mildred Rushing McCaffrey;
sister, Sue Reeves and brother-in-law, Wayne Reeves; grandson, Gavin McCaffrey and niece, Mary Ann Reeves.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Sharon Kay Reeves McCaffrey;
daughters, Amanda Brent, Leanne Douglas (Chris); sons, Caleb McCaffrey (Jodie) and Casey McCaffrey;
brothers, Larry “Pete” McCaffrey (Bobbie), Jerry McCaffrey, and sister, Carolyn Hutchinson (Robert).
Eleven grandchildren, Kelsie (Cody), Garrett, Katelin, Connor, Kinley, Caroline, Owen, Hayden, Corbin, Emily and Tia;
two great grandson, Coben & Preston “Blue” McCullough, and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all that loved him.
