A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2020,

at First Baptist Church of Brookhaven, with visitation from 4-6 pm. Friends and family are encouraged to dress "Bernie casual."

Bernard "Bernie" J. Ebbers ran into the arms of Jesus on February 2, 2020, surrounded by his family in Brookhaven, Miss.

Bernie was born on August 27, 1941, and was 78 years old at the time of this death.

Bernie Ebbers was many things to many people, but the greatest role he ever had was being a father to his girls.

Bernie invested in people's lives and the fingerprints of his charity continue to endure today on many.

From providing tuition and support to students to funding mission activities, Bernie made a lasting impact on many people's lives, often anonymously.

Bernie began as a coach and took that approach in every aspect of life. He encouraged and motivated on a personal level to the benefit of everyone.

He and Linda loved basketball and raising their daughters. They also loved Brookhaven and its people where he had a passion for leading Sunday school

and they participated in mission work for years.

Bernie's life and how he loved people has left an impact on the lives of all who knew him.  Bernie never stopped teaching others about the Lord,

leading his family, and spreading the love of Christ, no matter his circumstances. The Ebbers family is especially grateful to have been by

his side for the last weeks of his life here on earth.

Bernie is preceded in death by his parents, Kathleen Mary and John Tony Ebbers, and grandchildren Baby Easley and Bernie Ellen Gates.

He is survived by Linda Ebbers, daughters Ave Easley (David), Treasure Ebbers Beeson (Dwayne), Joy Ebbers Bourne, Faith Ebbers Gates (Michael);

grandchildren Nathanael Easley, Rachel Easley, Gabryelle Easley; Jordan Beeson Stewart (Jacob), Jonathan Beeson, Juliana Beeson; Truett Bourne,

Harold David Green lived a life filled with accomplishment, dedication, and love. On January 14, 2020, at the age of 81,

Harold passed away peacefully at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, surrounded by his loving wife of 58 years,

two sons, and other beloved family members. A man of enduring might and strength, Harold was blessed with good health

and spent only a few short days of his long, full life hospitalized. Known for his precise, meticulous nature, an abrupt

death seems to be the only thing he ever did quickly.

On March 9, 1938, Harold was born in Bogue Chitto, Mississippi, to Charlie and Annabell Green.

The second of seven children, Harold, and his older brother were inseparable, and he was a natural leader

and caring older brother for his younger five siblings. Upon graduating from Bogue Chitto High School,

Harold served as a Corpsman in the US Navy for four years before receiving an honorable discharge in 1960.

Harold and wife Faye shared their first home in Moab, Utah, after their marriage in 1961.

Harold's successful career with Conoco swept the young couple and their growing family to new homes across the country,

including Colorado and Montana where their sons were born. They later settled in Hattiesburg where their

sons graduated from both high school and college. Though his sons remember his disciplinary expertise

all too well from their childhood, Harold's grandchildren enjoyed the softer side of him, reveling in his affection.

Harold is predeceased by his parents Charlie and Annabell and his brothers Edd and twin, Harry, who died at birth.

Those left to cherish his memory are his adoring wife Faye; his siblings Gary, Gordon, Helen, Virginia, and Frances;

his older son Wayne and wife Donna and children Sydney and Sinclaire of Hattiesburg; his younger son Greg and wife Denise

and children Emily, Kyle, and Kevin of Bloomington, Illinois; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to join services for Harold on Thursday, January 16, 2020, for visitation at 1:00 p.m.

and funeral at 2:00 p.m. at Riverwood Family in Brookhaven to be followed by burial at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto

Mary was a retired registered nurse and worked for many years at the University of Mississippi

Medical Center in Jackson, MS. and at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS.

After retiring Mary continued her nursing by taking care of her mother who lived to be 97.

Mary’s companion for 18 years was her beloved poodle, Buddy. If you knew Mary, then you most certainly knew Buddy and how much he meant to her.

Mary Anding Grace, born March 18, 1932, is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Henry Grace.

Mary is survived by her special caregiver, Lora Youngblood and special friends, Gary and Cheryl Myers.

We wish to express appreciation to the nurses and staff of Compassus Hospice Care.

cousins, Lee Lee McGlothlin, Addy McGlothlin, and Karlee, Davie, and Kaleb; and great-uncle, Daryl Abrams.

“How very quietly you tiptoed into our world, silently, only a moment you stayed.

But what an imprint your footprints have left upon our hearts.”
