Visitation and Gathering for Mr. Curtis James Smith will be held on Tuesday Evening, March 17, 2020, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Riverwood Family.
Mr. Curtis James Smith, 83, of Brookhaven, passed from this life on March 14, 2020, at Haven Hall Nursing Home.
He was born in Brookhaven on February 10, 1937, to James K. Smith and Hollis Smith Smith.
Mr. Smith worked for Kelly-Coppedge as a Heavy Equipment Operator and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He was an avid Loyd Star Hornet; a member of the Booster Club and loved being the groundskeeper for over 20 years. He also loved cutting grass and spending time with his family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Relda Joyce Smith; son, Lance Smith and sister, Jerelene Walker and nephew Kendall Traxler.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Gaye Smith Bodin and Van Bodin; one daughter-in-law, Kristy Smith;
sisters, Aileen Traxler, Peggy Porter, Linda-Faye Smith, and Charlotte Terrell; along with five grandchildren, Ashley Croas, Amber Hall, Andrew Bodin, Kacy Nelson,
and Kaylin Smith. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Duncan, Alyssa, Anabel, Kade, Asher, and Aiden.
Due to COVID-19 and the recommendations from the CDC, we are trying to keep all gatherings smaller than 50 people. Because of the unique circumstances,
the funeral is by invitation only to follow these guidelines. We understand and know that he was a beloved member of the community and many would like
to pay their respects to Curtis, but we ask that you be health-conscious in this current situation. We respectfully ask if you have any symptoms (fever, coughing, or sore throat),
to refrain from attending the viewing.
A viewing will be at Riverwood Family Funeral Service 5-8 pm Tuesday, March 17th.

Services for Mr. Robert Malcolm King will be held on Tuesday Afternoon, March 17, 2020, at 2:00pm at Riverwood Family with visitation prior to the service from 1:00pm til time of service.
Robert Malcolm King, 63, of Brookhaven, passed from this life on March 14, 2020. He was born on April 12, 1957, to Leonard Malcolm King and Natalie Marcisak King.
Mr. King loved hunting, fishing, playing guitar and was a member of Bogue Chitto Assembly of God.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Donna King; brothers, Leondard King and William Kerry King.
Those left to cherish his memory is his sister, Sharon Bumgardner; sister-in-law, Vicky King and one uncle, Fred Mahaffey along with one cousin, Larry Steger.
Services for Mr. David Lynwood Teaster, Sr. will be held on Monday, March 16, 2020, at 11:00am at Topisaw Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday Evening, March 15, 2020, from 5:00 until also at Topisaw Baptist Church and will resume prior to the service on Monday morning starting at 10:00am.
David Lynwood Teaster, Sr. 75, went home to be with the Lord, on March 14, 2020. He was born on January 19, 1945, to William Harvey Teaster and Frances Elizabeth Ferguson.
David was a Boiler Maker, serving as a project manager along with being a member of Topisaw Baptist Church. He loved his church, his family, loved old cars and working on them with his boys.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother-in-law, Robert Jackson and two brothers, Garnet and Billy Teaster.
Those left to cherish his memory is his wife and love, Doris Fay Teaster; sons, David Teaster and wife Brittany and Ryan Teaster and wife Nicole; daughter, Shana Teaster Prather and husband Tony; brother, James Loyd Teaster and wife Marsha; sister, Libbie Jackson. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Vivian Wallace, Aaron Prather, Noel Crittenden, Morgan Wallis, Braxton Wallis, Sara Kate Teaster, Benjamin Teaster, Myles Teaster, Hayden Teaster, Cade Teaster and Olivia Teaster along with two great-grandchildren, Rosaleigh Wallace and Archer Crittenden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Topisaw Baptist Church Building Fund.
Thomas G. Herne, 71, of Brookhaven, passed away March 12, 2020, at his residence.
He was born June 18, 1948, to Thomas and Ann Herne.
He served his country in the United States Air Force during
the Vietnam War. He was a welder by trade.
Mr. Herne’s favorite thing to do was spend time with his
grandchildren and great granddaughter. In his free time, he
would watch NASCAR and ride his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sherlene Herne and his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Tommy Lee Herne and
Lori Barnett and husband, Roy; brothers, Joe Herne and Jimmy Donnelly;
sisters, Mary Sell and Terry Fager; two grandchildren, Skylar Barnett,
Noah Barnett; and one great grandchild, Delilah Barnett.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Gayera Lane “Gay” Case Robinson of Brookhaven, are 11:00 am Tuesday, March 10, 2020,
at Mt Moriah Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery.
Visitation is 5:00-8:00 pm, Monday, March 9, at Riverwood Family and will resume from 10:00 am until time of the service on Tuesday at the church.
Mrs. Gayera Lane “Gay” Case Robinson, 72, went to be with her Lord on March 6, 2020.
She was born August 16, 1947, to the late James Willard Case and Pauline Posey Case.
Mrs. Robinson was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years, Rev. Ronny Robinson; daughter, Kelly Lane Irwin, and husband, Ronnie;
sons, Kenneth Wayne Robinson, and wife, Vicki, John Chris Robinson; sisters, Gwen Clark and Regina Mullens.
She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Emily Irwin Wright and husband, Christopher, Michael Irwin, Lorna Robinson Phillips and husband, Christian,
Mylie Robinson, Kaleigh Robinson, and Nathan Robinson.
Geoffery Kyle Crosby, 33 of Vidalia LA passed away February 28, 2020, in Centreville, MS.
He was born on March 11, 1986. Mr. Crosby was a Lieutenant at Angola Prison.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Wilmer Crosby, and Harry and Bernice Roth.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Perry and Tammy Crosby and biological father, Wayne King.
He is also survived by his sister, Brittany Crosby.
There will be a memorial service at a later date.
The funeral service for Mr. Frank Ellis Brown will be 2 p.m., Saturday,
March 7, 2020, at The Assembly, Brookhaven, with interment at
Magnolia Cemetery in Pike County. Visitation is from Noon until the time of service, Saturday.
Mr. Brown, 42, of Bogue Chitto, passed from this life March 3, 2020
at his residence. He was born August 8, 1977, to Marvin Ellis Brown
and Peggy Sue Blades Tate. Frank enjoyed working with his hands,
his favorite thing was building. Spending time with his family was
the most important thing to him. He will be missed by all who loved him.
Frank is preceded in death by his grandparents, B.F. & Jennie Brown
and Evie & Buford Blades.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Bridgette Brown; son,
Austin Brown; daughter Claire Brown; his parents; brother, Scott Brown; sister,
Jennifer Brown; brothers-in-law, Cody Woodall, Jeffery Erkhart, Doug Erkhart,
Brad Erkhart, Jackson Williams, and John McKenzie; sisters-in-law, Crystal Woodall,

Trisha Wallace, and Tabitha Brown. He is also survived by numerous nieces and
nephews who all adored their uncle Frank.
The funeral service for Mrs. Arva Pearl Smith will be 11 a.m.,
Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Riverwood Family with interment at
Riverwood Memorial Park. Friends may come for a time of visitation
beginning at 9 a.m., Saturday, until time of the service.
Mrs. Smith, 93, of Brookhaven, went to be with her Lord on
March 4, 2020. She was born July 18, 1926, to her parents,
Willie Hewitt Smith and Grace Dexter Smith. She was a woman
of faith and values. She worked for Stahl Urban for 32 years,
while taking care of her home and family as well. She was a
member of Central Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers,
Maurice Leslie Smith, Willie Hewitt Smith, Jr., and Kirby Conrad Smith;
and sisters, Elaine Proudy and Betty Joe Allen.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Judy Lewis
and husband, Billy, Rita Smith and husband, Donald, and Nita Barlow;
sister, Neva Groome; six grandchildren, Keith Lewis and wife Bethany,
Lance Lewis and wife Becky, Tina Smith and husband, Tony, Bradley Smith

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Aubrey Case, Sr. will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 9-11 a.m. preceding the service.
Mr. Case, 82, of Brookhaven, passed from this life March 1, 2020, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born May 23, 1937, to Lucious Case and Kceal Allen Case. He was a hard-working man, working as an oilfield worker as well as Pulpwood Hauler. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. In his free time, Mr. Aubrey enjoyed trot line fishing and beach trips, but his family held the most important place in his life. He will be missed by all who loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Howard Case, Herman Case and Dolph Case; and sister, Kathryn Case.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 63 ½ years, Patricia Joan Case; sons, Aubrey Case, Jr. and wife, Andrea, Mark Case and wife, Gwen; brother, Ralph Case; sister, Faye Smith; five grandchildren, Kris Case and wife, Beth, Jennifer Kelly and husband, Jason, Kellie Simmons and husband, Josh, Alan Case and wife, Kelsey, Jason Case and wife, Laura; and nine great grandchildren, Carlee Case, Rosalyn, Caroline and Elaina Kelly, Case Simmons, Carter, Conrad, Camryn and Chandler Case; and other loving family members and friends.
The funeral service for Mrs. Martha A. McMorris will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 5, 2020,
at Riverwood Family, visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment is at Woodlawn Cemetery in Summit.
Mrs. McMorris, 83, of Brookhaven, formerly of Summit, passed away March 2, 2020. She was born March 28, 1936, to her parents,
Curtis Melvin Rhodus, Sr. and Louise Guy Rhodus. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Brookhaven.
Mrs. Martha was an accomplished pianist, playing for numerous churches as well as teaching music at North Pike School.
She enjoyed playing the piano for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. “Dick” McMorris; her parents; son and daughter-in-law,
Jimmy and Gail McMorris; and sister-in-law, Josie Rhodus.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Stan McMorris and wife, Carol Ann, Clay McMorris and wife, Stephanie,
and Tommy McMorris and wife, Lisa; one brother, Curtis Melvin Rhodus, Jr.; 11 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two nieces and a host of cousins.
