Charles Edward West

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Edward West will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 11, 2019,

at Harmony Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 5-9 p.m.,

Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Riverwood Family and will resume at Harmony Baptist Church

at 10 a.m. Wednesday until time of the services at Harmony.

 

Mr. West, 75, of Brookhaven, passed from this life, September 6, 2019, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven, MS.

He was born in Brookhaven, MS, September 19, 1943, to his parents, C.H. West and Elizabeth Bessonette West.

He was a 1962 graduate of Brookhaven High School where he lettered in football, baseball and track.

He loved the Lord Jesus and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher.

He was a wonderful husband, father, and PawPaw that loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports.

He enjoyed golfing, gardening and hunting with his family. He retired from Delphi after 30 years.

Mr. West is preceded in death by his parents, C.H. & Elizabeth West.

 

Those who are left to cherish his memory are his wife of 57 years, Linda Butler West;

sons, Chuck West and wife, Cindy, of Raymond, MS, Chad West and wife, Sheila, of Portsmouth, RI,

Sean West and wife, Amy, of Brookhaven, MS; brother, Bobby West and wife, Barbara, of Madison, MS;

sister, Maxine Welch and husband, Danny, of Magee, MS.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Shelby West Hillery and husband, Scott, of Picayune, MS, Sydney West,

of Jackson, MS, Ashby West and Lakin West of West Point, NY, Austin West and wife, Kaitlyn, of Brookhaven, MS,

Nathan West, and Katie West, of Brookhaven; three great grandchildren, Emma, Anna, and Peyton West,

of Brookhaven, MS; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.

 

Pallbearers for the service will be Ryan Irving, Charlie Welch, Ashby West, Lakin West, Austin West, and Nathan West.

Serving as honorary Pallbearers will be, James Ray Hemby, David Bowers, Phil Hemby, and Jeff Butler.

Randy Carr

Services for Mr. Randy Carr of Monticello are 11:00 am Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019

at Monticello Baptist Church with interment at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is from 5:00-9:00 pm Friday, Sept. 6 at Monticello Baptist Church and he will lie in state from 10:00 am until time of service.

 

Mr. Randy Carr, 71, passed away at his home on September 5, 2019.

He was born on November 10, 1947 to the late, S. Bill Carr and Dorothy Hyde Carr.

After three decades of dedication, he retired as an Officer and Supervisor for the Mississippi Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks.

 

Mr. Carr was a graduate of Copiah Lincoln Community College and the Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Academy.

He was a member of the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Association and the Tri-County Cruisers Car Club.

He loved hunting, fishing and antique and classic cars.

 

Preceding him in death were his parents; grandparents; and sister, Carolyn Carr Neal.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patsy Hutcherson Carr; son, Mark Carr and wife, Lianne;

daughter, Cindy Carr Williamson and husband, Brian. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren,

Ashley Williamson, Taite Williamson, Leanne Carr, Matt Carr, Jones Carr; two nephews, Brian Neal of Laurel, MS.

and David Neal of Monticello, MS; brother-in-law, Tommy Neal of Monticello; and numerous aunts, cousins, and close friends.

Richard Allen White

Mr. Richard Allen White, 65, of Sontag, passed from this life September 4, 2019 at

King’s Daughters Medical Center. He was born in Shelton, Connecticut, May 3, 1954,

to Thomas and Lillian White. He was a truck driver by trade, and a member

of Holly Spring Baptist Church.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Brady White and

Richard “Richie” White; brothers, Dan White and Willie White; and six grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Ernie Aline Chisholm of Bude are 11:00 am Friday, September 6, 2019

at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial at the Family Cemetery in McCall Creek.

Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 pm Thursday, September 5 at Riverwood and from 9:00 am until time of service on Friday.

 

Mrs. Ernie Aline Chisholm, 86, went to be with her Lord on September 1, 2019 at Haven Hall Nursing Home.
She was born on June 21, 1933 to the late Horace Thomas Foster and Jennie Bell Foster.

Mrs. Chisholm was a member of Solid Rock Pentecostal Church and she will be missed by all that loved and knew her.

 

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, David Decatur Chisholm; son, David Keith Chisholm, Sr.; and 3 brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Thomas Chisholm and wife, Lisa; brothers, Calvin Foster, Darius Foster, Freddie Foster,

Edward Foster and Mickey Foster. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Chad and friend Brandi Stewart, Blake and wife, Kylie,

David and Tommy Chisholm and her 6 great-grandchildren, Chaleigh, Gunner, Tripp, Dakota, Kaitlyn Chisholm and Corbin Stewart.

Rhondia Sue White

Graveside Service for Mrs. Rhondia Sue White of Brookhaven will be 10:00 am Wednesday, September 4, 2019

at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday, September 3 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service from 5:00-8:00 pm.

 

Mrs. Rhondia Sue White, 56 went to be with her Lord on August 30, 2019 at her residence.

She was born on May 25, 1963 to the late George and Patricia Ann McClelland.

Rhondia was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

 

Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Tammy McClelland, and Beverly Rigaud.

 

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Howard B. White; sons, Howard L. White, Levi Owens;

daughters, Danyelle Owens and Rhegan Owens and also her 7 grandchildren.

Thomas William Harris

Services for Mr. Thomas William Harris are 11:00  Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Little Bahala Baptist Church.

There will be a visitation on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the church

and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Bro. James Harris and Bro. Roger Griffith will officiate and interment will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Thomas William Harris, age 73 and a resident of Wesson, went to be with the Lord on August 28, 2019.

He was born on July 18, 1946 to the late T.B. and Ethel Sanford Harris. Mr. Thomas was a member of the Cub Scouts and 4-H Club.

He also served  in the United States Army Reserve, a dedicated member of Little Bahala Baptist Church, and was retired from the Mississippi Forestry Commission.

 

He is preceded in death by his parents; and son Thomas William Harris, Jr.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce Harris; sons, Eddie Harris and wife Alishia, and Kevin Harris and wife Christy; daughter, Priscilla Nations;

brother, James Harris and wife Vaneesa; sister, Amelia Warrick and husband Larry; grandchildren, C.J. Moore, Ashleigh Harris, Brodie Harris, Chastity Golden, Parker Harris,

and Langston Harris. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren.

Lee Edward Gatlin

Funeral services for Mr. Lee Edward Gatlin will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 30, 2019,

at Moak’s Creek Baptist Church, with interment in the church Cemetery. Visitation is

from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, August 29, at Riverwood Family, resuming Friday from 10 a.m.

until time of the service at the church.

Mr. Gatlin, 83, of Bogue Chitto, passed from this life August 27, 2019 at North Oaks Health Center

in Hammond, Louisiana. He was born in Bogue Chitto, Mississippi, June 15, 1936, to his parents,

Edgar Neely Gatlin and Thresa Mae Whittington Gatlin. He was a 1954 graduate of

Bogue Chitto High School where he played on a state basketball championship team. He was a

member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and the Bogue Chitto Masonic Lodge #260. He served as

a Lincoln County Supervisor from 1976-1984. He was a wonderful PawPaw and loved watching

his grandkids and great grandkids play sports and was an avid Mississippi State fan. Daddy loved

gardening and riding his farmall tractor. Through the years he worked in the oilfield, shipyard,

timber industry, sales, and was self-employed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Aline Maxwell; and granddaughter, Megan Mae Gatlin.

Those who are left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Ernestine Case Gatlin; son, Jamie Gatlin

and wife Frances; daughters, Vickie Bigham and husband, Dave, Julie Gray and husband, Kent; brother,

Charles Gatlin and wife Betty; sister, Earline Hall, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roland and Irma Ross;

nine grandchildren, Jeremy Brown (Carrie), Leah Brown Cutrer (Elliott), Kristin Gray Underwood (Grant),

Karri Dixon Smith (Tyler), Justin Brown (Jacquelyn), Gage Gatlin (Hannah), Kelly Gray (Rachel), Eli Gatlin (Hope),

and Noah Gatlin; and 16 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his longtime friend and

“Preacher”, Bro. Billy Howse as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Pallbearers for the service will be his grandchildren: Jeremy Edward Brown, Justin Daniel Brown,

Gage Hartley Gatlin, Eli Loring Gatlin, Noah Cutrer Gatlin, Kelly Gatlin Gray; honorary pallbearers

will be Sam Laird, Troy Laird, Monette Moak, Delton Moak, Billy Gunther, Gene Jones, Dr. Tom Carey, and Jerry Joe Brent.

David Lee Stanley

The funeral service for Mr. David Lee Stanley will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 30,

at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, with a graveside gathering at the Bales-Stanley Cemetery,

in Bogue Chitto. Visitation is from 5-9 p.m., Thursday evening at Riverwood.

David Lee Stanley, born on August 17th, 1952 to the late Pete and Virginia Stanley, stepped

into eternity at 9:15 pm on August 26th, 2019. Moments before he passed away, he hummed

a short song, worshiping Jesus with his last few breaths. He then waited until his family

was present before he stepped forever into the presence of the Lord. 

Now, we are sure that David is keeping his promise to find a good fishing hole and wait

until he is reunited with those who remain here. They are Gloria, his bride of 46 years; Chris, Jeff,

and Dusty, his three sons; Will, Sarah, Austin, and Blake, his grandkids; Don, Danny, and Darlene, his siblings;

Amy, Linda, and Darlene his daughters-in-law (whom he considered his own daughters) and

Gary and Pandora Bales, his brother and sister in law (whom he considered simply brother and sister).

There are more who knew him as Daddy D and loved him like another Dad, but this space

could never hold all of their names. You know who you are, and you know how much he loved you.

Mary Louise Allen

Services for Mrs. Mary Louise Allen of Wesson are 1:00 pm Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service

with visitation from 12:00 until time of service.

 

Mrs. Mary Louise Allen, 66, passed away on August 23, 2019 at University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Mary was born on June 27, 1953 to the late Johnny Lee Parson and Doris Marie Furlow Parson.

She was a Cosmetologist Instructor and enjoyed teaching and meeting new people.

She loved looking out at her pond and garden and most of all loved spending time with her family and friends.

 

Preceding her in death were her parents; and first husband, Merl Mitchell.

 

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 31 years, Kenny Allen; daughters, Becky Mitchell, Pam Case, Marcie Mitchell;

son, Robbie Mitchell; and daughter-in-law, Veronica Mitchell.

She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and brother, Johnny Lee Parson, Jr. and numerous aunts,

in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Dorothy Ann Watts Case, 86, went to be with her Lord on August 23, 2019 at her residence.

She was born on September 15, 1932 to the late Ezra E. Watts and Mae S. Watts.

Mrs. Dorothy was a member of Gum Grove Baptist Church and she enjoyed cooking for her family and her church.

She will be missed by all that knew her and loved her.

 

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Leonard L. Case; sister, Shirley Watts Labeth Callender and her grandson, William T. Smith.

 

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Duane Case and wife, Pat, Bruce Case and wife, Candi; daughter, Deborah Case Smith and husband, Bill;

sisters, Eloyce Watts Porter and husband, Pat, Yvonne “Bonnie” Watts Smith and husband, Harold. She is also survived by her

9 grandchildren, Michael Case, Luke Case, Jon Case (Diane) Kayla Case Brown (Stephen), Mark Case (Nicole), Josh Case, Matthew Smith,

Daniel Smith (Trinity); and 7 great grandchildren, Lexis Leggett, Madilyn Case, Parker Case, Mallory Case, Casen Brown, Cara Brown and Westin Case
