Services for Mr. Dallas Maurice “Buck” Daley of Ruth are at 11:00 am Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Providence Baptist Church with burial at Church Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 on Wednesday, February 12 at the church and resumes from 10:00 until the time of service on Thursday.
Mr. Dallas Maurice "Buck" Daley, 78, went to be home with the Lord on February 10th of 2025. He was born on November 25, 1946, in Carson, Mississippi, to Roy and Magurite Daley. Mr. Buck Daley was a resident of Ruth, Mississippi. He was a true example of "a man of God". Mr. Buck enjoyed his time as a deacon and Sunday school teacher at Providence Baptist Church. Mr. Buck was also a family man, a well-loved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He took pride in the family he created with his bride of 55 years. Mr. Buck loved and valued the time he spent with his wife and family. Mr. Daley was a talented woodworker and could build almost anything you asked of him, whether it be tables or tiny reindeer decorations. He also had a green thumb and could make any plant flourish and bloom. When Mr. Daley wasn't gardening or woodworking, he was telling one of his many stories to anyone who would listen. He never met a stranger and enjoyed reminiscing on childhood memories and the times he spent in the army. Mr. Buck Daley was an Army Veteran where he received medals for the National Defense Service, Vietnam Campaign, Vietnam Service, and Honor Commendation. Mr. Buck was a light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him and will be greatly missed.
Mr. Daley is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Magurite Daley, his brothers Tommy Daley and Larry Daley, and two infant sons.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Daley, his son Lance (Clancie) Daley of Ruth, MS , his daughters Melissa (Billy) Lyons of Enterprise, MS, Lorriane Moran of Houston, TX, grandsons Gage(Scarlet) Daley of Monticello, MS, Hunter Daley of Ruth, MS, JD Jones of Enterprise, MS, granddaughter McKayla Jones of Enterprise, MS and great-grandson Jackson Daley. Sisters, Jeanette Whitt, Thresia Daley, Judy Smith, Martha Hutchinson. Brothers, John (Faye) Daley, George (Shirley) Daley, Patrick (Lynne) Daley, and Marshall Daley
