The graveside service for Ricky Dale Sauls will be 11 a.m., Monday, May 15, at Sauls Family Cemetery in Monticello, MS.

Mr. Sauls, 72, of Monticello, died May 11, 2023, at his home in Lawrence County. He was born in Tylertown, MS, January 6, 1951, to James L. Sauls and Charlene Givens Sauls.

Ricky was employed in the oil industry and worked offshore for many years. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Monticello and also a member of the Monticello Lodge.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one son, Robert L. “Robby”  Sauls.

Ricky is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rosemary W. Sauls; son, James R. “Jamie” Sauls; daughter in law, Stacy Sauls Thornhill; four grandchildren, Taylor Sauls (Jannan), Maddie Claire Sauls, Preston Sauls, and Molly Sauls; and two great grandchildren, Evan Sauls and Leigh Taylor Sauls. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

    My friend. Ricky drove a bus for the school district several years before I retired from the bus shop. He used to share his dream of going to the Smokey mountains and driving a trolley bus in pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. You left us too soon buddy. We sure are going to miss you. I know you’re in heaven walking on the streets of gold with Robby and your parents today. God bless Rosemary and your family. We will all miss you. Until we meet again. RIP
