Mrs. Davis was my 4th grade teacher and probably my favorite of all my teachers. She gave me exactly the kind of love and attention that made me feel secure and gave me a desire to do my very best. I loved her dearly. I know her last years were especially difficult on her and all the family; I’m glad she is at rest and safe with the Lord she loves.

One of my earliest memories is of listening to Mrs. Trophine play the piano at East Lincoln. She was a special lady. Prayers to her family.

Steve and I are saddened to hear of your loss. She was my 4th grade teacher at Mamie Martin. Her Co-teachers that year were Mrs.Godbold, Miss Greer, and Mrs.Lytle. 5th grade teachers we're Mrs.Adams, Mrs.Sartin, Mrs. Reed and Miss Hendrix. We had wonderful teachers.
She also played the piano at East Lincoln Baptist Church when we attended there some 45 years ago. You all will be in our prayers in the days ahead.
