Mr Charles and I shared a birthday (July 28) and every year at VBS at Skyway Hills we would celebrate together. It was so cool to share a birthday with an adult AND an “army” man! (I didn’t know the difference back then)

His sweet family will always have memories in my heart! God Bless you all! We will Love y’all bunches and pray for comfort during this time!

I always remember Bro Charles telling me to be proud of my height. I was so self conscious being taller than most of my friends. That meant so much to me. He and Mrs. Rachel were so kind to all. I don’t ever remember either one being upset with anyone. It was so sad for me when they moved away. I sincerely missed them. They were a beautiful couple. You could actually see the love they had for each other in the way they looked at each other. Bro Charles will be missed. Heaven received a great Man.
